「Great stay and breakfast with lovely owners」

「Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. 」

「Very comfortable bed and pillows. Easy parking and convenient access directly from car park to rooms which was great as we got back after midnight. Very nice continental breakfast and friendly welcome from our host.」

「This is a wonderful little hotel. Our room was spacious, very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The bed was so comfy! Excellent shower. The whole room felt so nice. All the staff were very friendly, in the morning the owner served breakfast and could not have been a better host. Friendly , welcoming and a great host. The breakfast was delicious too. The hotel is 2 min walk to a beautiful sea front and 2 mins from the town. I cannot recommend this place more.」

「Weather was great went to visit my grandchildren who live nearby pod was great could do with a good clean on outside and decking was abit wobbly would come again good price for what it was the bed really clean toilets and showers considering how many people on site」

「i arrived at my room, to which i was extremely disappointed, i would say the worst hotel room i have ever stayed in. the cleanliness of the room was so poor, i felt so unsanitary the whole time. there was stains on the carpet of very odd colours. there was marks all over the wall, one which was right next to my bed. the bathroom was disgusting! i felt very uncomfortable using the bathroom due to the lack of cleanliness. the shower had not been cleaned, there was hairs on the toilet seat. a...

「Had it all. Great position to Alfriston high street. 6 mins walk. Alongside Cuckmere river and walks. Pool and spa are brilliant. Can’t wait to go again. Food brilliant. Staff so good. Can’t praise it enough. Maybe rooms need air con due to this very hot weather.」

「What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend.」
