"Room was quiet, clean and with good decor; bathroom was nice and clean too. Rooms were quiet. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and food (we only had breakfast) was fresh with lots of choice. Only minor criticism was the pillows. Too hard for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our three nights stay. Would recommend. "

"We enjoyed our stay we got free upgraded room Due to one allocated was very small and dark and view fire exit stair case , I went to reception and they gave me 3 other rooms to choose from which was good, breakfast think they should give you options to choose items you need as I can’t eat very much due to medical condition. Think they should stop smoking rooms as corridor was very strong of smoke and made my dad stressed due to him having to keep taking his medical pump . I didn’t take staff name that changed our room but was very polite . "

"Nice place! When you arrive at the pub it doesn’t look the best place ever but the rooms are in great condition clean well located and very functional. You access by a separated door so don’t have to get into the pub! Good place! Parking can be tricky as there are only four spaces and they are in high demand always! I didn’t have a problem parking on Saturday afternoon and night! If you want to get good value for your money you are in for a budget option and don’t mind a bit of noise and the pub this is a great option! I would get back certainly!"

"Lovely accommodation. Bed was comfortable. The annexe was quiet. It had everything you could want. Heating was welcomed too. Host was lovely. However, on listing there was no mention that to access the property there were steps. The choice was to go through a gate and walk down seven steps or walk down the entire length of the garden which was sloped downwards towards the property and still go down two steps. I have mobility issues and was using a dog pram to transport my belongings. I couldn't do the seven steps and the other option made me very nervous walking a long way on the wet grass and then still having to navigate two steps. The host helped me a couple of times but I was there three nights so had to manage this mostly myself and it was very anxiety provoking even when just walking with a stick. However, the accommodation itself was lovely and I enjoyed my stay, However, I worry that anyone booking with any kind of mobility issues wouldn't know the issues from looking at the photos and there is no mention anywhere in the listing of steps. If this information had been on the listing I would have not taken it. If you have no mobility issues then this is a lovely place to stay. "

"The property is lovely and separate from the mail house which is nice. The hosts are great and helped us out when we had to stay longer. As described and a great and relaxing boot hole. Particularly nice was milk in the fridge when we arrived for the available tea and coffee. A really nice touch!"

"If you're looking for a peaceful stay in a period country house then Cleavers Ling is the perfect place for you. Our bedroom was comfortable. The breakfast room, with its oak beams and inglenook fireplace set the scene for our host, Sally, to bring us full English breakfasts, (my eggs were poached to perfection). Tea from a large silver service tea pot poured without dripping on the linen tablecloth and the toast from the toast-rack rounded off the meal and set us up for the morning. We were also offered home made banana bread wrapped up for a mid day snack. All this made our three night stay....perfect. Thank you Sally!"
