「Great stay and breakfast with lovely owners」

「A great location for visiting the coast which was quiet considering how close it was to a main road. A lovely clean room with all necessary features. The breakfast was good. I would stay there again.」

「We loved our brief stay on beautiful Alfriston. A lovely hotel with excellent staff and a fine breakfast.」

「There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. 「Clean room and great staff」

「Very old property with upgrades so you have to expect some issues. - small rooms narrow corridors no lift small shower. Bed was great undulating floors made you feel drunk but I don’t drink so…. Worst problem was lack of parking. And it’s a long way away」

「Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. 」
