「Wingrove House is a welcoming small hotel in the heart of the historic village of Alfriston, just off the South Downs Way. It has been sympathetically restored to make it a comfortable, modern hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spotless. There is a comfortable lounge and I enjoyed sitting there with a book in the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and the restaurante service was great.」

「Lovely room with see view. Very warm lucky had fan to use. Staff very friendly. Only negative looked like carpet could do with a good vacuum in some places, round windows and along skirting boards. Breakfast was plentiful in lovely surroundings. All in all nice hotel to spend our anniversary.」

Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.」
