「We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.」

Our room was lovely very clean , en-suite shower is amazing, lovely beauty mirror with a light. Slept really well Cooked breakfast to order was hot and very tasty. 「This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....

「Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.」

「My wife and I had an incredible stay at the lovely Port Hotel with a stunning waterfront view providing gently rolling waves for ambience with the windows cracked open. The staff were perfect and the Eastbourne waterfront was everything we'd hoped for an authentic English coastal experience. Although was not an issue for us, be aware there are no elevators so if you book an upper floor then you're in for a good workout getting up and down the stairs daily -- especially getting heavy bags up and...
