Location was close to the beach. Lots of walking, wear good shoes. There is a live bandstand on the beach near the hotel. Live acts are frequent but just missed one on the first night . did not hear the music. Great breakfast provided by hotel. Room was large.

Another stay at the Grand Hotel, a favourite destination where I have found the service to be variable. The hotel itself is the standout with excellent facilities including the pools. On this visit the service also matched expectations.

This was our second stay at The Grand. Our first visit made us come back. This hotel is unique, you feel a real guest every second you are there. Special thank you to David, the concierge! We combined our stay with a 3 day trip to London. Definitely coming back again to Eastbourne and stay at this amazing hotel.

Beautiful building, lobby and dining area. Excellent spot too, just across the road from the beach and a great French restaurant and also walking distance to the pier. Rooms look a little tired and could do with a refresh. Bath tub and carpet had stains, mattress was way too soft and door squeaked at night due to a draft from the windows which made it difficult to sleep. A bit of repainting and refresh of the room interior would make it outstanding. Pool was very nice but can get overcrowded. Staff overall were very friendly and breakfast was nice. Early check in was also appreciated since we had a toddler with us.
