The Riviera is a well located clean and comfortable travellers inn. Our room was very spacious overlooking the beach and having a lift was very welcome convenience for us to access our room. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Absolutely no problems with my stay , any questions asked of reception staff were quickly answered I had a single room which was on the smaller size but still plenty of room with wardrobe, small Chester drawers with tea, milk etc on top, a round table and chair with a side top next to bed. Hotel right opposite beach and 5 minutes to pier and main street leading to town and station (15=20 mins)

We often stay here we choose it over other hotels in Eastbourne .It is in an excellent location near the pebble beach and pier and it is only a short walk to bars and restaurants. The staff are always warm friendly and helpful without being obtrusive .Comfy beds ,clean rooms lovely sea view available bathroom although quite compact is clean and functional with shower and a bath in larger or family rooms I rate this hotel 10/10

Very pleasent stay. Just one night but room was very clean and comfortable. Receptionist was so helpful. No carpark attached to hotel but you can buy a permit for cheap at reception and receptionist helped to sort this. Good location, close to the pier. Walking distance to the center. Would definitely stay again.

My single room although small was very clean, including the bathroom. The only downside was that the walls are thin and I could hear someone snoring in the next room! All the staff, reception and breakfast staff, were very friendly and helpful. Overall I would really recommend this hotel. It is on the seafront and good value. Breakfast is extra but there was a good choice and was well cooked.

Aside from the room that is extremely hot as we were given the room that os facing directly the afternoon sun so it’s unbearably hot though we didn’t bother to escalate it anymore cause we are out most of the day anyway the rest of the service ,like the staff ,facilities and location are really good .

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. There was no aircon and asked for a fan to be told they only had four and were being used. One of the beds was sunken and the shower was in a bath. Very basic and overpriced at £235. Paid for breakfast for two, which was cold and gave us both upset stomachs for the day. Not a good experience, won’t be going back.

Great for a bargain night at the beach. The hotel was beachfront and close to the pier, so that sums up the highlights. The staff were great and very helpful. As for the room, it was clean. However, the TV didn't work, there was a bit of mold in the bathroom, and the mattress was lumpy and not wonderful as a large male. Focusing on positives, location, staff, and 85 quid for a Saturday night. Would I stay there again, ehhh, maybe? Probably not.

Functionally acceptable, but there were better hotels along the seafront for similar prices. I won’t be staying there again. It was a hot night, so I had the windows open and the environment was very noisy, so I didn't get much sleep. The following night, I realised fans were available but only noticed discreet signs mentioning them, even then very uncomfortable, but on the upside the staff did very well with what they had to work with.
