「Beautifully quiet for a Saturday night And worth staying in for dinner」

「Room was okay . However the ensuite bathroom smelt mouldy and damp. We were put off using the shower. Also there was a glass shelf above the bathroom sink that made it difficult to lean over the sink to wash or clean your teeth with out banging your head.」

「Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.」

Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. 「We had a lovely stay at Amelia Cottage while visiting family in Battle. Such a nice and warm welcome from the owner. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is lovely and well maintained with many flowers. The location is perfect, it is close to the playground and to Battle High Street. The local supermarket Jempsons is only a few minutes walk away and that was also very handy. We will definitely book again!」

「This is my second stay here after an overnight stay last June. I aim to book here whenever I can going forward as it was as good if not better which was a high bar to begin with.
