Furnished in period antiques and featuring carefully restored and maintained rooms, but with a few modern upgrades, this home is fantastic. 「Beautiful hotel, amazing roof top with view of the city. Staff is a bit pretentious and the bartender took a while to warm up to being pleasant. The room was spacious, bed comfortable. We stayed here to see a concert in Charleston. I would stay here again and hopefully staff has turned over and more pleasant people are hired who enjoy speaking with their guests. 」

「Hotel Emeline was a 5-star experience. Existing pictures and reviews don't do this place enough justice!!! We were on a girls' trip (4 girls in their early 40's from all over the US) and we would stay back here in a heartbeat if returning to Charleston in the future. Had trouble understanding how to enter the property and parking was a bit tedious at first cuz I had never done a carousel before. But Kimberly stayed with me throughout the whole process and explained it very well. The Iris does accommodate one pet for a fee. 「There was a major construction project next door to this property, and directly behind our room there was heavy machinery and excavation that started weekday mornings at 6:30am, making it impossible to sleep in. Neither Expedia, nor the property upon arrival, warned us about this and it was a rather rude awakening. The hotel said that they warn guests about this via email one week in advance, but because I booked through Expedia I had no such warning. Not acceptable Expedia. 」
