Very nice small boutique hotel. Very clean, friendly staff. Room a little on the tight size, bath just the opposite. Well stocked free (!) in room bar/fridge, quite nice. Ditto free cooked or continental breakfast served in room, or in lounge. Very nice! No restaurant, but located within the French Quarter where there are restaurants within a few steps in every direction.

We stayed at the Spectator for a long weekend and loved it. It is centrally located within walking distance of many city highlights. The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfy. The complimentary refills of the minibar was a nice touch, too. Everything was great.

We stayed overnight at The Spectator for a quick trip to Charleston. Fantastic location just a few blocks from Waterfront Park, close to King Street and great shopping. Fast valet service, experienced butlers and comfortable, spacious rooms. The breakfast in bed was a lovely finish to our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

I recently celebrated a birthday with two other couples at this property. It was my 1st time visiting it. Location, location, location. Perfect for a trip to Charleston, SC. Staff was amazing. Everyone knew our names from day one and used them to greet us throughout our stay. Rooms were very well appointed and we loved the large bath and rainfall shower. Extra towels we didn't even have to ask for. Breakfast is included. We thought it would be continental. NOT! A variety of choise including scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits and gravy...delivered to your room by your butler when you want it. Great bar and lobby. A welcome cocktail was served when we arrived. Love this property. We had a balconette and it was great. We'll definitely be back.

This is the 4th or 5th time staying here. The staff is always amazing. They go above and beyond. Girl’s trip, romantic trip - it is the perfect hotel and location. There are many wonderful options in CHS - this is one I will continue to return to and share with family and friends.

It's a spectacular hotel in all means. Location, cleanliness, staff, meals. Caring for all the smallest detail you can think of, one of my favorite hotels i have been to. The butler touch was significantly special, thank you all at the hotel for your thoughtfulness, caring and hospitality. We enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended.

The highlight of this hotel was the friendly staff, quiet ambiance, and location. We didn't take advantage of the butlers too much but they were extremely nice and brightened up my day each time I interacted with them. The rooms were a decent size and offered plenty of space to unpack and settle in. I enjoyed the local soaps and shampoo that was provided. The staff kept the refreshments, smacked, and coffee well stocked. Their was some signs of water damage around the shower and doors to the balcony. My expectation is a bit higher for a hotel that is advertised as refined. The location of the hotel was quite nice on the northern end of the French quarter. Everywhere we ventured to was within walking distance. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
