Everything about this place is above and beyond. Staff? Personable, gave great info about the area and highlights of the area. Very attentive. Graciousness-it’s not a category but it should be; small picnic basket at the door in the morning with a petite breakfast. Fresh fruit, mini quiche, a little cheese and sausage. Go to the first floor for a lovely pastry and coffee shop. Wine in the library with cheeses and crackers for a cocktail hour we would enjoy at 6. Then go to the rooftop restaurant if you’re not in the mood for a walk. Perfectly clean, beautiful rooms with great lighting, beds are the best.

Very clean and modern. Breakfast boxes delivered to your room daily. Super friendly staff. They were so accommodating and held our luggage for a few hours after checking out. Highly recommend! Location is great for all the restaurants and shopping.

This hotel was incredible! Very nice hotel, rooftop restaurant was great, coffee shop was fantastic and the breakfast was excellent and delivered right to your door each day. Great location! Felt like we were close to everything! If in Charleston again we know where we’ll stay!!

Beautifully appointed hotel. Service was great and staff were friendly. Our 1 bedroom suite was large and comfortable and was cleaned everyday. There's wine, cheese and crackers at the library area next to the lobby from 5-6 pm nightly, which was nice. There's a complimentary breakfast basket, containing a rotating offering of egg/cheese biscuit or coffee cake/scone with fresh fruit during our 5 day stay. We dined at the in house restaurant once and food there was excellent.

I loved everything about this place other than the pool. The location, the staff, the room, the rooftop bar. It was clean and fresh and smelled wonderful. Everyone was absolutely amazing. The pool on the other hand should really be advertised as a big hot tub. It was too hot to enjoy. I didn’t mind the size or location. It was clean and the lounge chairs were nice, however, the temperature of the pool was not enjoyable on a hot spring afternoon. Which was part of the reason we picked this hotel. As much as I loved everything else, we just won’t be returning without a usable temperature adequate pool to cool off in.

Spacious rooms and the rooftop restaurant has excellent food ! Any staff we encountered was always friendly ! And the 5:00 pm wine and cheese in The Library was amazing as were the breakfast baskets ! Only complaint was the electric outlets didn’t work in our kitchen and we asked twice to have them fixed…. With no luck.

Had a fantastic girls weekend in Charleston, and the hotel was key in that. The location was perfect. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool is luxurious. The restaurant was totally happening, and it had great drink options. Ee never heard the neighbors. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to purchase a girls getaway package that included a bottle of bubbles, a charcuterie board, in room massages, and gift certificates to local businesses.

There was both good and bad about this property. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the wine and cheese social each evening was nice. The room had wallpaper coming off the wall and the shower doorlwas very hard to open and close without scraping the glass causing a loud noise each time. The restaurant was below average and the check-in and check-out process was poor. They sent a pending charge of $3,000 at check-in on a final bill of around $1200. At check-out I had to go and get the luggage rack, carry it up to the sixth floor and load my car without any offer of help from the hotel staff. Finally, when they brought me my car from being valet parked (inside I was told) it was absolutely filthy after being given to them clean.

Hands down a phenomenal place to stay! Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning (pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, quiche, breakfast biscuits, etc.). Complimentary drinks are restocked in your refrigerator daily. The decor is very urban and sleek. The location is top-notch to everything. The people were fantastic. We have no desire to stay any place else, and we will be back! Amazing place!

The breakfast was a huge disappointment. The pastry which was dry, cold and had tiny bits of sausage was terrible. Paying $350-400 per night we expected better. But the biggest irritation was seeing a $2800 charge on my credit card. The room was $1388 for 4 night. It took 3 people at the hotel to get an explanation. The explanation made no sense. It was to insure that extras would be paid!!!! We travel 100 days a year for many years. This was not only a first but nobody had a good explanation; including the manager. Bottom line plenty of elegant hotels in Charleston; avoid the Restoration.

Great location. Unique and charming. Close to everything. They also have a shuttle service ( a jeep) that will drive you to locations close by. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
