「Room was odd but was clean. Front desk person was helpful and I liked the water and snacks they had easily available. Breakfast concept downstairs was nice although the scrambled eggs were the powdered kind and the bacon was not edible. Fruit and cereal and juices were nice. There was a long line for waffles. 」

「This was my third stay at The Principal Hotel. The history of this property is unique and the rooms are amazing - essentially in brand-new condition and very tastefully designed and decorated. 「There was so much noise coming from the room above us, it sounded like a herd of elephants running around. We were watching tv, so we just tolerated it until 9 pm, when we were ready for bed. We called down to the desk to report it. On our second call around 930, we were told “ it’s a birthday party sir “and basically get over it. At 945 pm, we called to request a more quiet room in a different area of hotel. We were moved at 10 pm. We asked for some compensation in the morning, but no response....

「Not a typical Holiday Inn. Building old. Doesn't smell the best. It was clean. The big issue is the toilet was SUPER LOW. Like if someone were older and or had knee issues it would be a major issue. I've never seen a toilet so low. 」

「Surprisingly clean room for low cost, off-brand inn. Dated and some wear and tear but clean, quiet and comfortable. I usually only go for Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt brands but was stuck in the middle of nowhere and this was the only option. $39 for the night!」

「We usually stay at drury properties no matter where we go, Fairview heights even though a newer one was probably the worst. The rooms were clean but the pool and hot tub were absolutely disgusting there were hair, skin pieces, bandaids, and the overwhelming smell of urine.
