"Great resort, beautiful pool, staff were all kind and helpful"

"I didn't book the all inclusive pkg, but 1 day was raining so I tried to just pay as I went but talked into pre authorizing 4000 pesos, I had the breakfast buffet and later tried to get a couple of drinks from the pool bar, was told no, went to the front desk, she called and said I'm good to go. I went back to the pool bar and was denied again, then I settled/cancelled my pre auth, paid for the breakfast(475 pesos and not worth it no fruit at the buffet) I was embarrassed and annoyed and left, glad the rain stopped and I could venture out as Isla is know for many great eateries. Room was good, was clear and the WiFi was only 4hrs per day too. Couldn't imaging if I kids with me at this resort. "

"The front desk ladies were pleasant, along with some of the restaurant crew... but the "security" folks are hateful, dont smile, dont communicate, and just unapproachable. Bar is way too expensive for tenants. $4+ for a local beer???? come on!! We booked with you guys, make it pleasurable. Rooms were clean but no fridge. We had a good stay but will target a different place next time."

During our stay, we also met Frankie at the retro party—he was incredibly kind, helpful, and a pleasure to run into again during the Five Diamonds celebration. The property itself is breathtaking. With multiple levels and beautifully designed spaces, there are so many different environments to enjoy. The architecture and interior design are stunning, and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous—especially from the rooftop restaurant Unik, which offers truly spectacular views. The entire setting feels very romantic, and it was perfect for a trip with my husband. "
