「My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Casa Malca. While the property may lack some of the amenities of other hotels on Tulum Beach Rd., Casa Malca features artworks from the renowned collector Lio Malca’s personal collection in the hotel and around the grounds, so it’s a must for art enthusiasts. Additionally, the staff are all extraordinary, addressing us by name and attending to every detail of our stay.」

「The entire staff at the resort are amazing. Our concierge Gina was very helpful with recommendations for tours off the property, and things to do on the property. Carlos and Dieder from the entertainment team were full of energy and so genuine in their desire to make sure we were engaged and having fun. We enjoyed volleyball, live music, bike ride into Akumal and other shows put on by the entertainment team. There was always something to do if you wanted to be interactive. Jose was our pool...

「The property is old, depressing, and smells strongly of mildew. The drinks are not of high quality, and they try to charge for everything. The front desk staff is incompetent, the food is of poor quality, and the location is very far from the airport—making the cost of transportation to get there exorbitant. Although it belongs to a lower category, . I would not recommend the Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an.」

「This resort was amazing. It was like they had thought of every detail. The whole resort was immaculately clean inside and out. The pools the beaches were gorgeous with tons of seating. There was a sargassum problem this week, however the resort staff were cleaning it continually and the beach was quite usable in places. The rainforest vibe and secluded pools and waterfalls were just the atmosphere we wanted, and the location away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood was as very appealing. We had a room with a garden and soaking tub that gave the place the feel of an expensive boutique hotel for a fraction of the cost. The breakfast included with our room was small but excellent, and we made good use of the bar's happy hour. Superb margaritas!」
