Maybe I should preface this by saying I don’t usually do resorts. But this stay made me realize I never want to again. The check in process was excruciatingly long. I was tired and jet lagged and asked repeatedly to just get to my room and they kept asking to sign me up for events for discounts. I just wanted to lay down. While I was there I was harassed when I was at the pool by staff about my room number and my last name. Then to confirm my room number and confirm my last name. I just told you. I then watched the staff members walk around the resort and not ask anyone else for that information. I saw them later and asked them why I was asked and they said they asked everyone. I didn’t see that at all. Bartenders were great. Maids a turndown service was great. So many rules, maybe if you don’t plan on leaving the resort this would be a good stay. I left every night to explore and getting in and out is such a pain. Checking out is a pain. You need a ticket to give to a cab driver to prove you checked out. Just way too much. Again I’m not a resort kind of person. If you are maybe you’ll enjoy this one. It’s not for me.

I celebrated my fiftieth birthday with family and had an amazing time! Secrets did not disappoint. The food was excellent! I truly enjoyed my stay at this resort. It did not disappoint. Our concierge Frida was the best. She was patient and very helpful!

I had an amazing stay here، and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The resort is beautifully maintained-clean, organized, and very well taken care of. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and always helpful, with fast and impressive service. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are large. The restaurants offer a good variety, and we enjoyed most of what we tried. The 24-hour coffee shop was a highlight. The pools are clean, well-maintained, and never feel overcrowded. A special mention to the entertainment team—they were welcoming and added so much fun to our stay. We especially want to thank Jhonny, who taught us how to make bracelets, and we also enjoyed a painting session. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, including yoga, ceramics, dancing, and a fun foam party. The beach requires a short shuttle ride, but honestly, that turned out to be part of the charm. I didn’t expect to enjoy the ride as much as I did—it added a unique touch to the experience. The beach itself is in a great location, clean, and offers excellent service. The beach area is near local shops and a street full of stores, so we could easily go out, walk around, explore, and come back without going far. The resort and beach are also stunning for photos—every corner is beautiful. I want to emphasize again how exceptional all the staff were—their kindness and service truly went above and beyond.

1. This is a COUPLES resort…heavy on the couples. If you’re not comfortable being by yourself, it might hit different. I did meet some people and hung out with them here and there. 2. You don’t have to leave at all there are multiple pools, 5–6 restaurants, everything is right there. 3. It’s not on the beach, BUT the shuttle is a whole vibe and the beach club is 10/10—pools, cabanas, food, drinks, and great service. There’s no extra cost. 4. Food was solid. Tried most of the restaurants, no real complaints. 5. The BED?! Top 3 best sleep I’ve had. No exaggeration. I was knocked out! 6. Preferred Club = worth it. Concierge checked on me daily, handled little things (even my lost key), and the preferred pool is super chill + luxe. 7. This is NOT a party resort. It’s calm, quiet, and relaxing. Also not crowded so there’s no fighting for chairs, cabanas always available. 8. They do have activities all day + night like the silent party, shows, painting, water aerobics, etc. So it’s not boring at all, just chill fun. 9. The spa?! I did the “Imagine” package: hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, cold plunge + a 50 min massage, 30 min facial, 30 min foot treatment… WORTH IT Overall… would I come back? Yes. But next time… I’m pulling up with a man! lol

The property was excellent food was great at all of the restaurants no exceptions drinks at the bar were very good. Our concierge Arturo was very attentive with daily event itineraries.

Staff is super friendly and very kind people. Food is great and pools are clean, but a few need some resurfacing. Beach is like 15 min away from the resort, but they have a shuttle every 30-45 min If you are a vip member they will try to sell you a membership and ask for 90 minutes of your time and will give you a $350 voucher. Please be aware this is a sales pitch and will take way longer than 90min. If you aren’t interested my recommendation is to skip!

The hotel knew it was my birthday, yet the birthday banner wasn’t placed on my door until the day before we left, which felt like an afterthought. As Preferred guests, we also expected a smoother checkout, but it took over 20 minutes because they were short-staffed. That was disappointing considering the “Preferred” status. Also be careful not to leave anything behind in your room. My boyfriend accidentally left his Beats headphones, and when we contacted the hotel less than an hour later, they claimed he must have “misplaced” them. It felt like they were simply washing their hands of the situation and taking no responsibility. Given how quickly we contacted them, it’s hard to believe they were just misplaced and it strongly suggests someone on staff kept them. Overall, very disappointing. We travel often throughout the Riviera Maya and expected much better from this property.

We just checked out today and wanted to give a review, especially after seeing lot of negative reviews. We were contemplating cancelling but decided to come anyways 1) Room service in building 3: after seeing all the terrible reviews, our experience was opposite! When we first checked in and they told us we were in building 3, we thought oh great, here we go. Nope - we ordered room service multiple times through the app, and we always got it ahead of schedule! We ordered at peak times too 2) Theft: We left all our electronics out in the room and had our passports and money and wallet in the safe at all times and had nothing stolen 3) I can’t even tell you how amazing the food was - Jasmine was our favourite, both for the preferred breakfast and supper! We didn’t get sick once and couldn’t believe how amazing the food was 4) We were hearing from others who were in building 1 that they kept getting notes under their door and hounded for the timeshare presentation, but we were in building 3 - they asked us once at check in, we said no, and was never asked again. Nothing under our door. At one point our door didn’t close all the way, so it was slightly opened and we immediately received a courtesy call letting us know. If we didn’t answer, they assumed we were out of the room and were going to close it for us. We were on our way out anyways and when we left, the guard was standing outside our room. Top tier service!

Our stay at this resort was absolutely exceptional from beginning to end. The property is stunning, the rooms are beautifully maintained, and the level of service truly feels five-star. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay memorable. We were even welcomed with a lovely bottle of champagne waiting in our room, which was such a thoughtful and luxurious touch that immediately set the tone for the trip. A very important suggestion would be to offer traditional Mexican food. Other than that, everything was perfect. Highly recommend!
