"overall, this was a great spot for 3 adults traveling! the area has tons of food options and convenience stores nearby. the hotel had only been open for 2 days when we stayed so the staff was still getting acquainted with the space and waiting on some supplies but overall the hotel was great! the room was the smallest we stayed in during our japan trip, but it was clean and comfortable. easy 15-20 minute walk to dotonbori area, very easy to navigate! 5-10 minute walk to trains to access JR...

"Good for the cost of stay in an old hotel. Room was clean, comfortable, quiet, with mini fridge, tv, self control remote heater ac, japan style comfortable futon on japanese straw mat floor. Bonus, 4 minutes walk to Spa World onsen."

"It was good. Check-in is a little weird. Staff was a little obnoxious, probably due to La Gaige barrier but could make it work. While most of the hostal was clean, Stairs were always dirty. Lots of Lint. And second night was a little hard to sleep on because neighbors were very noisy. Whenever they closed the door it would make a big bang and they spoke loud. Not really hotels fault but it is good to share this. Food around was great. Yeah, there are a lot of drunk guys but they are minding...

"It is a beautiful hostel! Great room with a sink, which is very handy. Facilities are clean and they give you a cute pj! Loved the bed as well, suitable for tall individuals! My partner fit right in and he os around 1.90! Location though steals the show! It is right by Kyoto station and walking distance to another metro station as well. Many attractions are walkable as well. Highly recommend."

"Overall the stay was great at Shinsaibashi Arty Inn, although they do not provide daily cleaning services, there will be daily change of towels and floor mat hung at the door of your room. The toilet, was also equipped with bidet and heated seat. The front-desk is also very polite and can understand English. Location wise was very convenient to Namba Station and Shinsaibashi Station. "

"Great location to Universal Studios Japan. If you want an inexpensive option for the area this was great. Room was not overly clean they could do a much better job on that end. Limited personal hours at front desk. Do not show up early as no one there until 4pm to check you in. Only about a 10-12 minute walk to universal which is what makes it great"
