「Rainwater was seeping in through the window and wetting the air conditioning unit, causing it to shut down. The breakfast service was severely neglected; there was absolutely no one there to replenish the food, despite the fact that many families were waiting to be served. Overall, the service is very poor, especially considering how expensive the rooms are.」

「Although hotel has jsut renovated, there is no shampoo provided in the room, it's by request! No hair dryer, no hanger provided, no kettle in the room to make tea/coffee. The facility is poor. Hotel staff is not very helpful.」

Since the location has permanent residents, this can be a issue if you arrive back really late. So keep that in mind. Our room was just like the pictures, but our steamer did not work and when I asked for a replacement, that never came so we did not have a way to iron/straighten out our clothes. That was a bummer. 「Our stay at the Terrell House was wonderful. Michelle and the staff made sure our arrival went smoothly and explained everything we needed to know. You're pretty close to great restaurants and shops (about a half mile - walk or Uber). They recommended Gris Gris and it was great - we ate their twice in 3 days. Finally, the breakfasts were superb. When we come back to New Orleans, we'll stay here again.」
