「The Hawthorne was an elegant, friendly port in a snowstorm after we lost power at home. We were delighted that our dog could join us there, and the staff was warmly welcoming to all of us. The building and neighborhood are rich with Historic charm, the staff is attentive, and the tavern with its fireplace and beautiful wood paneling is a distinctive spot for a meal or a drink. Nathaniel would be proud.」

「The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. 」
