「Cute little lodge . The front desk is open only 9 to 5. Provisions are made for coming and going after hours. Parking is directly behind the building. Free 8pm to 8am . 50 cents an hour otherwise. Hotels in this area are very high priced and this one is no exception, but a little less than the big chains. 「This property is beautiful. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and we loved our stay! The bathroom was huge and we loved that there were bunk beds for the kids. We wished we could have stayed more than 1 night here! The small kitchen was really nice as well.」

「I’m guessing the A/C was not working. So to fix the issue, a portable floor A/C was wheeled in which ran all night long with a tremendous noise. Definitely not a good sleep. Now check out is at 11am. We’re five people deep to checkout because the hotel is allowing guests to check their luggage in before they can get into hotel at 4pm. Not well planned from our perspective. Hotel has been great in previous stays. Maybe this was an anomaly」

The property has a wonderful historical feel, complete with a beautiful antique bed and canopy that really added to the historic character of the space. 「Everything was lovely. Great owners. Be aware that Salem does not allow for inns to cook full breakfasts for guests. If you are allergic to or sensitive to cats, be aware that the owners have several cats.」
