「The Salem Inn is in the top 10 of hotels I have stayed in over the years (and I’m an old man so I’ve stayed in a few). It is a historic building in Salem and is very well maintained. Staff is very friendly. Room was fantastic! Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Water pressure in the shower was amazing. No elevator but there is a dumbwaiter to move luggage to the upper floors. Absolutely wonderful stay!!!」

「Overall, I really liked this hotel. While I understand it is an older historical hotel, the rooms and bathrooms are small. They could also use some upkeep in terms of painting, etc.. I was impressed with the quality of food at the hotels dining.」

「Superb property. Great location - immaculately decorated with such class and fun all rolled into one! Staff were wonderfully helpful and the kitchen area was stocked with interesting snacks and drinks. The only confusing part is where the back door is and are you just about to knock on a private home but perhaps that adds to the "whimsy" feel of the entire property. Will definitely stay there again. 10/10」

「The hotel is under renovations and it does not tell you that anywhere before booking. The AC was effected because of this. The pool and public restrooms in the lobby were closed because of it. The lobby is torn up due to the renovations. The outside of the building was a mess due to the renovations. We got a nail in the tire of our rental car because of the outside work.
