Arcadian Hotel

Arcadian Hotel

8/10 Good
"Pro: The location was the key; it's literally right off the T station. This convenience you cannot ignore. Breakfasts were good. Very simple, but we were too busy to cook waffles anyway. con: The AC didn't work well for the last 4 days of the stay. But the maintenance folks were able to correct it each day. There is a hidden fee (destination fee) when you arrive. We stayed there for 7 days; the room does not have a dresser. So you would have to live off your suitcase. We had 2 kids and an adult, but only one chair in the room. No laundry service. Terrible."

"Location was great for Northeastern move-in. Woman at the front desk in the evening was very nice and helpful. Parking was very convenient, but typical high Boston price. Hard to get to a slow elevator - up or down a flight of steps. So not good at all for persons with mobility issues. The vinyl flooring in the halls were a mess and were not comfortable to have as flooring in the bedrooms. I would stay here again for the convenience and price."

The Dagny Boston

"We had a wonderful stay at The Dagny Boston. The location is ideal — walking distance to most of the major tourist attractions, but tucked away enough that you don’t deal with the noise and crowds. It felt like the perfect home base for exploring the city. The staff made the stay even better. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the concierge went above and beyond — securing us a last-minute dinner reservation and offering great recommendations throughout our stay that we wouldn’t have found on our own. We were also impressed after checkout: we’d left an item behind, and the staff tracked it down in lost & found and arranged to have it shipped to us without any hassle. As a nice bonus, the fitness room was spacious and well-equipped, which made it easy to keep up a workout routine while traveling. One thing to watch for: there’s a $35 “Urban Destination Fee” added to your bill at checkout, which wasn’t clearly disclosed upfront. Worth budgeting for so it doesn’t catch you off guard. Overall, a great combination of location and service — just go in knowing about the extra fee. We’d happily stay here again."

Club Quarters Hotel Faneuil Hall, Boston

Club Quarters Hotel Faneuil Hall, Boston

"The hotel only provides 2 small face soaps. They provided shampoo and conditioner. Why not also give shower gel for the guest? Also, please note the hotel does not provide a microwave or refrigerator in the room. Some hotels have one or the other more upscale hotels have both. Overall, it was clean. The staff is great but I think it’s overpriced. If they don’t have a microwave refrigerator in the rooms they can’t even provide you with charge. One night was $251. I found that to be a bit pricey with the lack of amenities , but I think it’s because of the location that the hotel is; that’s why it’s so expensive."

"Valet is a great option considering you are downtown. They do offer self parking. Both are $65.00 per day. Valet guys are always professional, pleasant and helpful. Check in is a breeze. Staff are helpful and pleasant. The adjoining coffee shop is fantastic. The lounge bar is enjoyable. Rooms are spacious! Always spotless and in great condition. I’ve stayed at the Godfrey many times and will continue to do so. This area is walkable. Beautiful area. Numerous restaurants to choose from."
