Budget friendly hotel. Check in staff was nice. Booked non smoking room but it smelled like it was smoked in. Ashtray was on sink by soap. Roach was in the room. Beds were very uncomfortable and uneven. Pictures were very deceptive.

A Wonderful Surprise !!

I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but my stay exceeded expectations. The room is clean, staff are friendly. For the price and location, Red Roof Inn Lansing is a fantastic value. I would gladly stay here again

We were traveling with young children late and needed to find a place to stay. I mistakenly booked this hotel, realized my mistake and called to try and reverse it which they told me no. We decided we would show up and see if we could make it work and we felt so unsafe we didnt even get out of our car. There was a heavy police presence, our car was approached but a woman we believe selling herself, and people were outside smoking and partying in the parking lot- not somewhere I felt safe to have my children stay for the night.

Exceptional Stay at an Unbeatable Price

My stay here was really amazing.Staffs were welcoming. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. Rooms were clean and well maintained I had a peaceful night after a long travel. Don’t stay here alone

The hotel conditions were pretty bad. The room was badly badly worn and really needed an upgrade things were not working. There were holes and things things were burned. There were broken doors. It was just a not a great place. One night was just fine but it’s not really secure The area nor the hotel. The tub was amazing I luv’d it.

Upon arrival I regretted my decision on reserving a room at this location. There were people just hanging out on the property. It close to a truck stop so it appeared like most of the women hanging outside were working girls.I booked a non-smoking room and was given a room that wreaked of smoke. I had to go back to the window in the vestibule of the lobby to reiterate that I booked a non-smoking room. I was given another room, didn't smell like smoke, but had a stale order. I did not like that the staff stayed behind locked doors and the window that you had to speak through was bulletproof. It was too transient for me, constantly could here people outside of my room. I left my room keys on the tv stand and left after a few hours. I didn't feel safe staying the entire night. That will be my first and last time staying there. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the hot water was hot. However the tv had no connection to the internet, so I was unable to watch it.

I absolutely loved the location and the surrounding area. HOWEVER, everything else was a complete and utter NIGHTMARE. I wanted to give this place a chance for myself considering the recent good reviews and I regret doing so. This place is everything the bad reviews said and more. They actually downplay how disgusting this place is. I’m pretty sure the good reviews came from the owner, the employees, the street pharmacists all around the building or the many of many people who treats that place like a low income housing complex. I didn’t even stay the room was so unsanitary, unsafe and uncomfortable. I’m currently disputing for a refund now. PLEASE DISREGARD THE GOOD REVIEWS THEY LYING!!!
