While I appreciated the historic character and charm, I didn't sleep particularly well because I found the beds quite firm. The property is a great choice for those interested in the history of the building, but if I return to Salem, I would likely choose a more updated hotel. For example, the bathroom layout was unusual—the shower was in a separate room on the opposite side of the guest room from the toilet...

「This is a charming inn with two different old houses. It’s well located and has a fabulous breakfast that’s included. Two things I would say for house we were in. One, there is no indoor sitting area. Our room, while quite large, had only a small love seat and the common area was not decorated to accommodate sitting. So having indoor drinks before dinner wasn’t really a good option. There is a very nice patio for outdoor relaxing. The bigger issue was the ice maker. It is LOUD and it went off...

「I woke up in the middle of the night with about 100 ants next to my bed. But I can’t even tell the staff until 9 AM because there’s no staff at night. When I did finally get to the staff they only gave me one option, which is to stay in an ice cave themed room. Which does not sound appealing and let me tell you do not run that room. It is terrible. 「Very nice experience. All the staff was on point, specially the Dominican lady in the breakfast area. Didn’t feel overcharged for the breakfast either. I would only complain about how clear the noise from the parking lot outside felt in my room .」
