Origin Kansas City Riverfront, a Wyndham Hotel

"We really enjoyed our stay at Origin Kansas City Riverfront! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and very clean, and we had a great view overlooking the riverfront. The location was really nice, especially being able to walk around along the river. The staff was friendly and we were very happy with our room and the hotel overall. We were also traveling with our dog and really appreciated having a nice place where we could stay with him. He especially enjoyed watching everything going on outside from our window! We had breakfast at Show Pony inside the hotel and it was delicious. We both ordered The Pony and iced caramel flavored lattes. Breakfast was a little pricey — $15 for The Pony and $6 for the flavored latte — but having a really good breakfast right downstairs was extremely convenient, and everything we had was worth it. The hotel itself isn't the cheapest option, but for a newer hotel in this area, we thought the price was actually very reasonable. Overall, we had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again the next time we're in Kansas City."

"We had a nice stay, our room was quiet, spacious, and comfortable enough. Lots of functional outlets. I would inform anyone coming to stay to be aware that to check in, you’ll need to buzz the front desk before any entrance is opened. The lobby is on the second floor. Once you get your key card, it’s a breeze. The locked doors are for safety, but it’s a little rattling if you don’t know what to expect. The second elevator was broken during our visit, which made for some longer waits. The location and parking are great."

"Safe and clean. AC worked well throughout the lobby and room when it was exceptionally hot and muggy outside. Lobby smelled strongly of perfume all of the time. Staff was friendly/polite by coastal big-city standards, but fairly impersonal by midwest/southern standards. Elevator was painfully slow. Parking (not included in the online price I paid) felt pretty expensive for a midwest city."

"Room was clean, and the staff was very nice. But, be prepared to pay a 100 dollar deposit when you get and if you booked online it doesn't mention anything about a deposit. Centrally location minutes away from downtown and the Plaza. Check out the restaurant along Troost called The Combine very good food"
