They told me to contact the third party (Expedia). I quickly reached out to Expedia, and they informed me that I could pay the difference (the $160 fee for Sunday night would be treated as a penalty) and change my reservation to Saturday check-in (with a new charge of $230). However, everyone kept shifting responsibility and insisted on charging the penalty fee (the entire cost of Sunday night as a penalty). I simply wanted to move the date one day earlier, not cancel the reservation, and I was willing to pay the price difference since Saturday was more expensive than Sunday, but they refused. The entire experience was very disappointing, and I am also dissatisfied with Expedia’s service. I would advise others to be extra cautious when booking to avoid a negative travel experience.We did not check in for that night, but the charge was still applied as usual."
