"Stayed at the Cannery Row Inn in Monterey and overall I’d call it an average, middle-of-the-road experience. The location is definitely the highlight. It’s within walking distance to Cannery Row, the aquarium, and a lot of restaurants, which made it really convenient for exploring the area without needing to drive much. Parking was also straightforward, which is always a plus in Monterey. The room itself was decent but felt a bit dated. Everything was clean enough, but the furniture and overall setup could use some updating. The bed was comfortable, though, and the basics were covered. Service was okay—nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Check-in and check-out were smooth, just not especially welcoming or standout. Noise can be a bit of an issue depending on where your room is located, and the overall property just feels a little worn compared to other options in the area. Not a bad stay by any means, but for the price, I expected a bit more. It works if you’re mainly there for the location and just need a place to sleep, but there are probably better options nearby if you’re looking for something more updated or polished."

"The hotel is clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The location is great. However the spa area is very disappointing. The spa water was green and not clean. The glass wall at the perimeter of the spa deck was dirty and streaked and hard to see through. The spa staff let teenagers run around the spa taking selfies and listening to the music on their phones on speaker with no headphones and act out all over the deck with little consideration for guests. The hotel staff did not care to inhibit this behaviour at all. Disappointing for what should be a relaxing beautiful spa location with great views. "

"My family and I have stayed at this hotel for 20 years. It’s changed hands numerous times through the years. This time though I was super impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the newly remolded rooms. This is the only hotel we stay at near Monterey because of the convenience of the beach being right outside our hotel room. Also there’s a target and Costco just down the street making it easy to grab necessities and whatever else we may want. Rebekah, at front desk was incredibly kind and even sent up chocolate covered strawberries after finding out we were there for our 7 year old twins birthday. We will definitely be going back soon!"
