「I think our stay wasn't typical for most guests since we booked for the night before Freshman move-in day at Plattsburgh University. However, the gentleman at the front desk was extremely pleasant. Using a golf cart to access the cabin was a fun twist that my daughter enjoyed. We stayed in one of the "duplex" cabins. It was very clean and obviously updated but still rustic. 「The rooms are being renovated and mine was clean and like new. I think more room improvements are coming as I'd describe it as 'spartan'. I only needed a nice clean bed and great shower after a day of hiking and biking and this was just fine. 」

「The property was very nice but there were no breakfast or lunch options for guests who stayed there during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant for dinner was delicious. 」

「It’s a cute little house in the center of the town, some of the room provides lake view. The room has high ceiling, but one downside is there’s no blackout curtain and the lake view is facing east with bright light in the morning. Self service coffee in the hallway.(could be a bit disturbing in the morning when people are making coffee right outside your door.) 「Room was very comfortable but paint was peeling and was a bit worn. Walls very thin so could hear talking from other rooms.Unfortunately we tried to go to restaurant but it was very crowded at 530pm so we went somewhere else, it looks nice! Check in was easy and everyone so nice .I would stay again but probably try for the lodge or end room , it would help to have a Keurig or coffee maker in room.PERFECT location for high peaks hiking !!! Cute fireplace outside and swing !!! People so NICE !!!」

「There brook in the background is great. This place is an old style, but we’re ok with it. This is our second stay. The staff is very nice and does everything to help you. Right off the road, but quiet. Nearby town for food. No elevator for second floor. Again, fine for us. No AC, but you don’t usually need it and rooms have fans. The doors are odd, but all work. Let the water run awhile for a hot shower or washing dishes. Good size fridge and stove. Great access to all things Adirondack. 」

「Nice quiet get away place. Beautiful porch that opens from your room to sit and enjoy a sunset or start the day with coffee and a sunrise looking out over the lake. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Amenities were available as needed. Highly recommend!」
