"This particular hotel is the absolute perfect place for rest and relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of Lake Placid. You might have to travel 10 minutes or so for a place to eat but well worth the trip."

"This is a motor inn, so stairs to second floor rooms. It was a very nice stay. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and there was a big comfy recliner chair. Also small table for 2 with chairs. Big sliding glass doors opened to balcony with two chairs. Nice view of mountains in distance. There was some road noise when on balcony, but quiet when sliders closed. The lighting in room was excellent with recessed lights on dimmer switch in addition to lamps. Just coffee available for breakfast, but small fridge & microwave in room. Bathroom was larger than average & water pressure good. Would stay again."

"We liked location & quietness, especially since it’s a larger property. The Haystack Bar & Bistro had wonderful crunchy chicken wings, but my salad with added chicken was terrible, the chicken was chewy, not good. I didn’t eat. The server did offer me if I wanted something else, but the damage was already done. The salad was not removed from the bill or discounted. The modern rooms are designed well, with a huge lake wall art & unique lighting. Overall, a wonderful stay."
