No fan in the bathroom, minimal amenities, MOUSE POOP IN MY BED AND I HAVE PHOTOS. Thermostat does nothing, was uncomfortably hot the entire time. Personally I'd love a refund. No warning of contactless check-in. Hard to track down office and check in procedure in a snow storm.

We booked this accommodation specifically because the listing stated that reliable internet service was available. In reality, the internet was completely non-functional for the entire week of our stay. This was not a minor inconvenience — it materially affected our ability to use the accommodation as intended. We contacted Expedia during the stay, reported the issue, and were explicitly told by a representative that the matter would be escalated and that we would receive full compensation due to the misrepresentation. Despite this assurance, no follow-up ever occurred and no resolution was provided. This is unacceptable. The property information was inaccurate, and Expedia failed to honor a clear commitment made by its own support team. At this point, we are not asking for goodwill — we are expecting the compensation that was promised. Accurate listings, documented follow-through, and accountability from customer support are the minimum standard. This experience fell well below that standard.

Great place for an Adirondack adventure

Gauthier's is a family run lake side inn. We have returned every year since discovering it because it totally suits our needs. It's not fancy, but it has kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, life jackets, fishing poles, bikes and helmets to use while you're there. The hotel is right on the lake with miles of lake and river to be explored. There is an absolutely wonderful bike/walking trail that runs from Tupper Lake to Lake Placid with easy access to it behind the Aldi's which is maybe 100 yards from the hotel. There are several really great restaurants within easy walking distance (which is great if you want to down a few Margaritas!) The owner is so knowledgeable about the area, and loves to give you ideas to spend your time. The facility itself is dated, it was built in the 1920's, so the rooms, particularly the bathrooms are small by today's standards. But the beds are comfortable, the TV works, the air conditioner is fine, showers have nice hot water. I recommend it for any adventure loving folks, especially families.

Les installations ont besoin d’amour… les chambres sont poussiéreuses, il y a de la moisissure dans la douche, le frigo est rouillé. La seul point positif est la vue de notre chambre qui donnait sur le lac et qui était magnifique.

Great Family-Friendly place

Its a quaint family-run establishment. The beds are a bit hard, but its a lovely place to enjoy the Adirondacks. Directly on Lake Flower with free use of their kayaks, canoe, bikes, etc. Overall a very family-friendly establishment.

This is a nice, quaint, charming motel located right on the lake. There’s a functional pool, ample parking, and even kayaks and a canoe for guests to take out onto the lake!

Definitely a 3 star property. The location was great and the management friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms have no privacy, the beds were too high, the floors had no rugs. Definitely a compromise for the price.
