Location is great. Limited parking, had to park out back down an alley, that was not mentioned prior to checking in. Room was on the small side and could hear everyone walking down the hall. Shower knob fell off in my hand, bed was uncomfortable with a mattress protector which caused the sheets to slide around. Sheets not the correct size for the mattress, so the fitted sheet kept coming undone throughout the night. Couch in front of TV was uncomfortable, could not watch TV in bed and "stains" on couch. 1 Keurig coffee maker for entire hotel so there was a line in the morning to make a cup of coffee. Great views from the room, hotel is run down and pool was closed. Breakfast buffet is all prepackaged items, cereal, yogurt etc...could have/should have started earlier than 8am for being prepackaged.

Nice lounge and bar area, wood stoves, comfy seating. Breakfast was great as well. Room was a bit odd. Sheets had a stale smell to them, heater would not turn off no matter how much you lowered it (had to turn it off), and stuff looked kind of thrown together. Almost like a house flip, but on a hotel scale. It was fine for one night but would not repeat.

The hotel felt very new, room was large and comfortable. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room. It had a frig and micro wave, so why not coffe? We hardly saw any people. We found the tv remote difficult but someone came and helped us. Grab and go breakfast was included, nice but basic. The price was very reasonable. Great location.

The location is excellent — right on Main Street with a beautiful lake view — and the downstairs sitting area is very nice. However, overall the experience did not match the price. We paid $500 per night and expected better. The rooms are very small. We had a Junior King with a sleeper sofa, and the sofa was extremely uncomfortable for our kids. The sheets were polyester, not cotton. Because the entrance connects directly to the outside, sand and snow melt get tracked into the room easily. I asked housekeeping to sweep the floors, went downstairs to request it again, and waited about two hours — no one came, so I ended up cleaning it myself. The website states there is a pool, but when I asked staff, I was told there is no pool available for guests. That was misleading. Breakfast was advertised as a buffet but was really just a basic continental selection with very limited protein. Items were often not refilled, and the coffee was empty multiple times. The staff was okay but not particularly attentive. For $500 per night, I believe the hotel could and should do better.

Good location Wall heating unit a bit noisy at night since the bed is right next to it. The bar at night should have finger foods at least to be offered on a small limited menu. Things that are already ready just need to stick in micro wave. Main issue was the pool was not open during our stay.

The property changed ownership just days before our stay so that is to be considered. Location was great, clean, plenty of common room seating not feeling crowded with others. Beautiful view of the lake, walkable to everything steps outside the door. A hefty deposit is taken when you check in. Steep in my opinion at 150.00. I asked for a receipt when checked out. The young man at the desk told me I would receive it through my travel website. Understandable but I was more concerned with having some proof of deposit if it’s not refunded. That was unsettling to me. Otherwise…. Enjoyable stay

I had three interactions at the front desk, and each person was quite cold and rude to myself and other guests I witnessed. The listing says parking is included, but it is not. The hotel told me to go down the road to find municipal parking, but they couldn’t provide an address. It ended up being a 10 minute walk. Troublesome situation with three young kids and all of our ski gear at night while it’s heavily snowing. They had the lobby drive up double parked for their bar party, so it was not accessible. There is only one luggage cart for the hotel, which is quite difficult in a winter sports town. And, the rooms feel like a “quick fix” remodel. The bunk bed was made with raw, unsanded wood with the contractor notes written on it and nails sticking out. The heater banged and rattled. And all of the doors won’t stay open. Door stops were needed but not provided. The floors are creaky. We were woken each morning by someone walking in the room above us. Also, to get to our room, we had to go through many doors by guessing and finding cleaning staff as there is no signage. The hotel changed names from the time we booked to the time we stayed, so I’m not sure if most of this is due to a change in management. We stayed at another hotel in the village right after this and had a completely different experience, for less. I would highly recommend a different option for your Lake Placid stay.

Room was comfortable, nice layout in junior suite. Unsupervised kids running amuck in the halls til 10 pm was a real bummer.

The tv went out quiet often so me and my wife had to use our phones as entertainment like we usually do which was not that exciting. We dont have a tv at home so we were especially looking forward to the tv but it always lagged and even cut off.
