"I booked a trip to Lake Placid last minute on the day before a long weekend, because I had a free weekend and had always wanted to visit Lake Placid. I found Stagecoach Inn online and made a booking. I called Kelly, the owner and host, the day of my visit to let her know I would be arriving late that night, because I was driving from New York City. She was very friendly and accommodating. As I drove to Lake Placid, Kelly was checking on me to make sure my drive was going well. Alas, I had chosen to drive the night of a snowstorm, which began to get worse as I approached Lake Placid. I had also rented a car which was not at all prepared to deal with the icy, snowy road that I encountered. About seven miles out from the hotel, around 12 am, my car slid off the road and into a snowbank. Luckily I was fine, but the snow was coming down hard and I couldn't get my car out. I texted Kelly, and she came to my rescue. She got in her car and drove out in the middle of the snowstorm to help me. Remember, we had never met in person before, and she could have been putting herself in danger. She was willing to do that to help a guest. She picked me up and drove me to safety. The next day, she drove me to breakfast, and to pick up my car, which had been towed. The rest of my experience was outstanding. The rooms were excellent, and the food was great. But I will always remember Kelly and how she went above and beyond to help me. She is an amazing person!"

"Cambria hotel is a beautiful excellent location to stay at in Lake Placid. ! Our double room with a balcony was spacious, very well organized with everything we needed and modern and super clean. The price was very reasonable and we would stay there next time we go skiing in Lake Placid. We used the pool as well but would prefer a hottub jacuzzi after a long day of skiing. "
