Had a very nice stay, rooms are clean. People are very nice.
I love the views, the bistro, the live music and the friendly people. The room is spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Returning here would be an honor and privilege.
The property was very nice but there were no breakfast or lunch options for guests who stayed there during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant for dinner was delicious.
Wonderful place for a stay with a group and friends and family. There is a great lounge with a pool table and a ping pong table. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and very confortable. We will come back.
Unique location, lodge and rooms have character. Quick drive to whiteface mountain. The restaurant has a good vibe and was packed on Saturday night. Kids liked the game room. Staff was helpful when we needed some extra service in the room.
We love NewVida Preserve and see nothing but a fantastic future for them. It’s a beautiful facility, has delicious food and coffee/smoothies in the bistro (we didn’t eat in the restaurant), friendly and helpful staff, great bar with live music, and a ping pong table we used everyday. We hiked the private trails in the woods and found lots to do in the surrounding area. So much more has been added since our visit. It would’ve been helpful if someone had been there to check us in. We missed it by about 30 min. Also a TV and small refrigerator would be nice. Highly recommend staying here!
Stayed at New Vida for two nights on Columbus Day long weekend 2023. Rained all weekend but we still had a great time enjoying the peaceful new hotel at New Vida. Rooms were spotless. Dinner was amazing …..but the cocktails at the bar were particularly spectacular especially the ginger turmeric sunset.
Rick the owner was friendly and fantastic. Property was spotless and well kept. Check in and out was seamless. Comfy beds and convenient location if you’re hiking up the mountains.
Only thing I’d recommend is that they have at least one TV …..perhaps in the bar or lounge ….wanted to watch Sunday NFL football after a day of hiking and had to watch the Buffalo Bills on my phone in my room as there’s not one TV in the entire property. I get that they’re making this into a quiet zen “back to nature” kind of place but at least one TV would be a welcome addition lol !
All in all our stay was amazing !
We've stayed here many times before, and it was so consistent. Great hotel accommodation, but the restaurant service and the hotel services were really lacking this time, what a shame. We waited +2 hours for our meals (both nights) and at least 20 minutes for our drinks (every round). We werent offered any apologies or restitution. They were busy, we get it, but they also acknowledged they didnt have enough kitchen staff so dont accept so many people in your restaurant if you cant confidently support it.
They have promised for at least a year that their hot tub would be available and its still not ready, which we look forward to. We also attempted to enjoy the outdoor fireplace, but the second night there was no wood left! Their popularity is surpassing their ability to actually provide good service, which is really unfortunate. We wish them well, its a great location and space, but we will be staying somewhere else next time we visit.
Great room. Freshly renovated but keeping the old school adirondack A frame charm. Nice game room area. Beautiful view from the adk chairs outside looking out to Whiteface. Staff was welcoming.
Everything was wonderful, the only thing was the rooms were a bit quiet, unfortunately the people next door talked and made noise until 1 am and didn't let us rest as we planned to do.
The gravel parking lot right in front of the hotel is not marked and not a single car was seen. No one was at the reception, in the big on site restaurant, or anywhere in the hotel. It was eerie so I left. Both of my young children and I were scared. The texting contact with the property offered to refund so customer service is a 10.

Beautiful scenerary for an ok stay
The room is very nice and the property is beautiful. Aside from that, there are minimal amenities and no coffee. They do list a coffee kiosk and there is tea only. No options for any cold beverages either. The lack of soundproofing between rooms makes it seem like times there are other people coming into the room. They are definitely on to a good idea but missing the finishing touches.

The towels smell like they haven’t been washed in several visits, same with the bed cover, pillows were incredibly thick bricks and I could hear EVERYTHING my neighbors were doing, from screaming, talking, in the bathroom and clearly having sex like they were right next to me, there’s no phone in the rooms or reception to call to ask them to be respectful especially when this went on until 2am.
