"The property was very clean, the room was very clean and roomy. The staff - AARON was very nice, polite, friendly and funny. He offered me an umbrella when it was raining and gave me two free water bottles . Thank you Aaron! The hotel is very beautiful and big . Very close to downtown. Either walk or take a short bus or train ride. Cost of bus or train tickets $2.40 each way. Very convenient. I would recommend this hotel. And it also close to the cruise port. 20 minutes walk. Everything are within walking distance so don’t rent a car. Valet parking is $59 a day with unlimited in and out, but self parking is $45 , no in and out. Every time you leave the parking lot is $45. The train and bus costs are way cheaper."

"I came here to see a comedy show with my sister for the weekend (we’re in our mid-30s). It was our first time in Boston! We got out of the taxi and were so excited when we pulled up to the hotel and that excitement quickly wore off once we got to the front desk… The man who checked us in at the front desk was completely rude. We got to our “double queen superior room” and it was anything but. The walls were all scuffed up and two of the three lamps in the room had lightbulbs that didn’t work. I called and asked if we could have a different room and they obliged, but besides the lights working, it wasn’t much better. The dings on the wall and paint on the mirror were just crazy to me! I’ve stayed in numerous Hiltons over my years, and can’t believe how rundown this room was! Our experience with staff over the next two nights did not get any better… the bartender (his name began with a P) was SO RUDE! Annoyed we asked to take our picture, then proceeded to move my phone which was in front of me to grab my receipt and look at how much I tipped him. We spoke with another couple later that evening and they also expressed how rude the staff was. Beds were old and hard. If I would have had the budget, I would have went and stayed somewhere else the second night. While the location is prime, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again the next time I’m in Boston."

"Nice room. Bathroom down the hall is different but ok. Bathrooms need better cleaning between use. They don’t empty the trash which sometime smells "

"Pluses - Great location to area colleges. Rooms are nice, , roomy, clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable. So-so - My TV remote did not work. Heat/AC medium fan setting did not work. May be specific to my room Minuses - On-site parking lot is tight. Definitely get there before 9:00pm to ensure a good spot. Complimentary breakfast is not good. No warm food, no bagels, no fruit, very limited number of pastries, most of which were gone 45 minutes after breakfast started. Was plenty of white bread and cheese though, if that is what you like."

"A friend recommended the Dagny Hotel when we planned our trip to Boston. This hotel is beautiful from the lobby to your room. All the staff are friendly, smiling and eager to help. The night time Concierge , Barry, was very friendly and helpful with great suggestions for dinner, things to do, and places to see. He even helped us with our online check- in for our airline tickets when we had trouble doing it on our phones. When we got there it was raining and we wanted to go get lunch- they even gave us umbrellas to use so we wouldn’t get wet. This hotel goes above and beyond making your stay more enjoyable. We will definitely recommend the Dagny to anyone going to Boston."

"Shawn was amazing! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday he went above and beyond! His coworker, who was there also three days, and I am sorry I cannot remember his name, was also there and very amazing during the entire three days. It was our 25th wedding anniversary. We did experience problems with the restaurant next-door on our very last day, but the staff was very attentive and willing to help us."

"Great location! Beautiful historical building. Easy walk from the Amtrak station and to all of the sites. We had two adult kids with my husband and I in one room with two queen beds. Tight for 4, but very doable. "
