Staying at this hotel gives a special sense of nostalgia. I noticed that the furniture in the hallways and common areas has a strong historical feel, which I really like. The hotel is also very close to MIT, making it a convenient starting point for visiting the campus.

Love this hotel! The complimentary breakfast was excellent, the room was clean and the hotel was very convenient -- a 5 minute walk--from the MIT conference I was attending. Great restaurants close by. The windows open--so good ventilation too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Kendall is so unique and lovely. It’s so fun to see the history and the relics of the old firehouse that are tastefully placed throughout the hotel. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly. It’s close to the train and downtown Cambridge. We loved the place and would stay again.

We always read the reviews. Cleanliness was mentioned in every one but the location is great, it’s next to the MIT museum and campus. We were there for our granddaughter’s rowing race against MIT . The Kendall MBTA stop is less than one block making travel to and from downtown Boston and Cambridge easy. We stayed on the 7th floor where there is a solarium that’s open with your pass fab, nice spot . The breakfast was excellent for a small hotel buffet. So we will go back and stay for the next race on the Charles .

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I also have never been at a hotel that had an emergency flashlight in closet. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was great. The train station was 5 ft from the door. Really enjoyed our stay here. Would come back to them again.

The morning of my departure the elevator key didn’t work. I went and spoke with Alberta at the front desk and he said there was something wrong with the elevator and if I wanted to go to each floor I would have to come back to the front desk each time and have him come accompany me to the elevator. So I wasn’t able to use the rooftop also this took like over 15 minutes to sort out I think he didn’t believe me at first when I told him to you the key wasn’t working because he he told me to follow him to the elevator I guess he said he keep my key but then he saw for himself that the actual elevator key Didn’t work so that’s when he said well I would have to go every time I want to come down and go back up I would have to go to the front desk ask him to come with me and you know have him select it correct floor for me. This is hugely inconvenient on top of this they charge for a resort fee $29 but they weren’t able to offer to full amenities. The day I came here they said only one gym was working and it’s a gym not on the property it’s somewhere on another block and they said the gym was closed at 5 PM that day so yeah and I will try to remedy this with the front desk and they said they couldn’t fix it for me
