Upon arrival, the staff was not very friendly. Check in went smoothly. We were told to speak with Patricia to make restaurant reservations. We explained that our group was only staying for one night, but she was very rude and unaccommodating, which left us feeling frustrated. We decided to go to the bar, where the experience immediately improved. The bartender, Cristano, completely changed the vibe—he was extremely friendly and made excellent drinks. Later, we went to the Merkadito restaurant, where the food was disappointing and served cold. One of the girls in our group grabbed a brownie for dessert and unfortunately found a hair in it. The manager, Rosalia, handled the situation very well. She was kind, apologized, and addressed the issue professionally. She also helped check us in and managed to get us reservations at another restaurant that had been marked as “fully booked,” which we appreciated. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was also disappointing. The food lacked quality, and the pizza tasted like it had been microwaved. Overall, the food throughout the hotel was very underwhelming. We ended the night back at the bar, and once again the bar staff saved the experience. Darinel provided great service and truly turned the night around for us. While the bar staff was outstanding, the overall service and food quality at the hotel were very disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay at Meliá Maya Casa Cancún. The resort is beautiful, clean, and relaxing, with excellent service from the friendly and attentive staff. The rooms were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere made our vacation truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We stayed in a Melia Suite with an ocean view, and the room was excellent — spacious, clean, and with a truly beautiful sea view. Overall, we liked the hotel: the territory is well maintained, the pool area is great, and the drinks were good (except for the beer). However, there were several disappointing moments. We noticed that some staff members provided noticeably worse service if tips were not given every time, which negatively affected the overall experience. The restaurant “The Grill” was very disappointing. The meat was undercooked, and we had to wait around 40 minutes for our order, which is unacceptable. Another issue was at the front desk. We were promised an earlier check-in than 3:00 pm, but in reality we only got access to our room at 3:05 pm. I am not upset about the timing itself, but I did not appreciate being given false expectations. If we had been told from the beginning that early check-in was not possible, we would have planned our time differently. Overall, the hotel has strong potential, but better consistency in service and more honest communication would greatly improve the guest experience.

Room was good. Nice and spacious. Food is VERY limited. Not much variety and very limited treats/sweets. Never have been to a resort where is no ice cream offered. Checkin was stressful because of a mistake that Expedia made while booking. It got resolved but it wasted half the day because of that. Overall nice small resort. Not sure if I would return.

"Pasamos 5 días increíbles en el Meliá Casa Maya con mi esposa y mis dos hijos. Si buscas un hotel familiar en Cancún, esta es una opción inmejorable. Lo mejor de la estancia: Lo que realmente elevó nuestra experiencia fue la gastronomía, y esto se debe en gran parte al Chef Silvestre. Es una persona fantástica, sumamente atento y profesional; se nota que pone pasión en lo que hace. Se aseguró de que cada comida fuera de calidad y siempre tuvo un gesto amable con nosotros, cuidando hasta el mínimo detalle en los platos. ¡Gracias, Chef, por hacer nuestras cenas tan especiales!

Food was clean but limited options, also tables and chairs were not clean properly at restaurants between people . Kids high chair most of the time dirty. Pool is cold not heated and no hot tub. No ramp to take stroller to the beach or the water park from inside. Kids club lack toys and entertainment options it only had timed activities. No coffee shops. And icecream for the kids was only served in a hidden place it was like a hidden gem and most of the time not available . The best thing about the resort if the beach and the clean rooms and friendly staff .

Mis hijos y yo visitamos para celebrar mi cumple y las fiestas patrias. Es un hotel muy bonito con habitaciones muy grandes y modernas! El buffet es bueno y la comida estuvo deliciosa, pero le falta mas variedad de fruta. El personal es muy amable y atento. La playa es hermosa y solo un par de dias hubo zargazo desafortunadamente pero los demas dias estuvo perfecto. El area de toboganes es pequeña pero mis hijos la disfrutaron. Sería mejor si esa area estuviera frente o mas cerca de la playa y no en la parte frontal del hotel. El servicio de niñeras es bueno y está incluido, pero mis hijos solo quisieron estar conmigo porque ya estan mas grandes y solo lo usamos unas horas. La alberca está muy bonita y la temperatura del agua es la más perfecta que hemos tenido en la vida! Todas las noches tienen un show en el lobby. A mi no me interesan mucho esos shows pero si lo disfrutamos mucho en la noche Mexicana! Bailaron padrisimo. En general, nos gustó mucho nuestra estancia.

I was excited to find a newly remodeled “all inclusive” resort to celebrate my 40th birthday. The facility is clean. However the food was beyond terrible. So much so, that we stopped eating at the buffet and paid for the better food at the resort. Also equally disgusting. The beds are extremely firm, everything is either over cooked or under seasoned. They also don’t tell you when you check in that you need to turn your wrist band (which is your room key) in at check out. If you don’t, they make you pay $100. We asked multiple times to speak with the hotel manager, and despite saying “he will be up to see you at 10 am” he never showed. Skip this resort. The waterpark area was nice for the kids, however seating is limited. Also very grateful for the doctor on staff there, he was able to treat my whole family.

Well the only positive is the sweets and coffee they have, otherwise all is terrible. Poor quality rooms, poor cleaning service...we found broken glass in the room when we arrived, limited foods options, and entertainment program and service are awful. Workers there are looking for tips to work or help you, otherwise you get poor service. They only speak Spanish and help spanish speaking guests. Rooms are spacious if you get the LEVEL, which we did, but poor setting of things in the room and cheap made. The beach is dirty and had things that looked like poop and when we checked, we found out they have sewerage shortage in Isla mujeres right across and dumping into the sea water. It was gross to swim there! They have one big pool without a hot tub. Food was bad and no variety. Concierge didn't even acknowledge us till one day later and was off 2 days of our 6 days stay. Better to spend a few more dollars and go to a different resort! They're short staffed and have limited restaurants' space for how busy they get. The wate park is nice with tons of kids so I'd say for people who want a contained space to stay and kids to enjoy a water park all day but don't care about anything else , this is the place for them.

The food was great, lots of area on the beach and never felt too crowded. The kids water park entertained our kids for many hours. The swimming area was clean but a little too wavy. The food was just fine, but nothing to write home about. The room was large and had more than enough space for all of our things, but smelled a little musty upon first arrival. The staff were really friendly and very helpful

Highly recommend Melia Casa Maya. The staff are very friendly. The restaurants had very good food. Room service was quick. Drinks were easily accessible. Pool was very nice and beach was fantastic. They have a decently large waterpark which the kids enjoyed. Melia Casa was a smaller hotel, which we really enjoyed. It WAS NOT over crowded and it was easy to get dinner reservations every single night. The hotel was very nice and clean. There was always a walk-up snack bar with lots of food to choose from. There was also a poolside menu from 11am to 4pm which guests can order from and have food delivered right to their lounge chairs. We had a concierge with our package which we really didn't use but she was great to have in a pinch. Shout out to Lily. Shout out to Jafet at the front check-in area, Francisco at the gym, Alexis & Erik at the Bars, the entertainment team and all the other staff which were great. Highly recommend this hotel.
