The room was very clean and comfortable, and the amenities were great. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we interacted with them. Because the hotel is very large and was extremely busy during our stay, there were a few moments where service was slower than expected — for example, snacks in the room weren’t always replenished daily, breakfast could have long lines, and pool service sometimes took quite a while. Overall, it was still a very good experience, just impacted a bit by how full the hotel was.

Check in was easy. The staff is friendly, but busy beyond their capacity. The hotel is not fully open. It’s only 50% open from what I noticed. The restaurants that require reservation, were all booked out. Apparently you can the restaurants via app, which we did not know. T The housekeeping took more half a day to provide napkins which was inconvenient (we called more than 3x and they would continue to say that it will be there in five mins) The food options are ok. I have had better food in other resorts. The salsas are amazing. The room was really nice and the view is amazing. I would not stay here again

THIS HOTEL — if there is -5 stars, I will put it, not even 1. I am just putting this review to let other people be aware not to be in the same situation that we faced. My family and I came to enjoy, and we paid a lot of money, but unfortunately it was the worst trip ever. We usually travel often and we have seen many other hotels, but like this one, never. Let me tell you from the first day. Check-in was around 7 pm. We went to eat because we arrived late, and after around 9 pm we went to our room because the kids were so tired. We had a king bed and a sofa bed for the kids. When we opened the sofa bed, there was no cover, nothing, just a mattress. So we called housekeeping, no one answered. I went to see the lobby; they told me to go see the concierge. I went and he told me he would send someone. He opened a ticket on his computer. I believed him and went back to the room. After 30 minutes, I called back because the kids wanted to sleep and no one showed up. I called again, the concierge did not answer. Then I went back to see him. I saw 6 other people in line with the same issue. After another 30-minute waiting time, my turn arrived. I re-explained nicely and he said he would request a second time, “don’t worry.” Again, I believed him. Then I went back to my room and on my way I saw the housekeeping room open. I went and took a cover bed and ended up doing the sofa bed myself. The next day I complained; nothing happened. All they said was sorry. The next day we tried to

Although very new hotel is overrated. Facilities and restaurants are great (except regular buffet). On the flip side staff is really bad. Absolutely unprepared. Get ready to get conflicting and imprecise information. Lastly, keep ALL your important belongings inside the safe.

horrific experience. We had a family reunion of 18 coming from across the United Stares. All our rooms that had more than one bed and paid guests, had NO linens. It took a day to get sheets! In the 5 days we were there, we could not get any dinner reservations… we never wanted one for 18 of us, just reservations for groups of 4-6 of us… Impossible!! If we did get a reservation, the restaurant could not find it!! Meals were at the buffet after standing in line for 45 minutes. I realize it was during the holidays, but Ava should have staffed appropriately. Two of the days, the pool ran out of towels.. unacceptable. None of us will come back to Ava nor will we recommend it. It was a chunk of change and did not fulfill our expectations. Anytime we had an issue we were told, “I’ll talk to the manager”… we soon found out these were only words to attempt to tie us over!!

Room was good but cleaning service is not: always short of something, i.e. towel, tissues, soap, etc. Called them but never delivered above. So difficult to book the dinner table. We also don't like the resort/company's culture: i.e. pretend to give us gift for schedule mistake but actually want us to attend their sales seminar; asked customers' satisfaction but actually want us to book next vacation with them. I would rate most of the front desk staff a 3.5 star hotel level.

The resort is nice and staff are friendly and helpful. But frankly, they do not have enough staff to manage the resort. If you don’t book your dining options far in advance it’s likely you won’t get a booking due to a lack of staffing, along with poor poolside service and housekeeping. The staff do their best, but they can’t keep up. This resort also lacked outdoor entertainment in the evenings, which was a shame. No swim up bars, unless you’re a resort member - and you also feel like you’re standing in line for an extras for the kids - Like the kayaks and inflatable water park and paddle boards. The teen club is only appealing to boys aged 12-14, your teen girls would be bored and the kids club is only suitable for 8 and under. The resort is great and new but if you’re expecting top tier service you won’t get it.

The rooms were great, housekeeping seems to be hit or miss tho, had to call for towels etc a few times. The experience with service overall was top notch, by the pools, bars etc. there were a few restaurants that we had below average service. The AC throughout the resort is way too much, bring your sweaters. Also they push the timeshare ( legendary club) hard. Avoid the staff in blue button ups, they are ruthless. Other than that, great place we will be back!

Dinner Reservation process and app don't work well. Kids club was a real let down. Not as much to do for kids as we expected. The pool and room were great and the staff was wonderful. Those were the highlights. The legendary club presentation was too long and they were not honest with us. The Spa was amazing. The golf was over priced and take your own balls they charged $120 for four sleeves of balls. We would go back, maybe. We would make sure dinner reservations are made in advance and avoid the kids club.

Big resort. 10-15 min car ride from airport. Many food options available. Big pool and many pool options. Great for kids. Different activities each day for kids. Rooms are average size. But all have ocean view with outdoor hot tub. Friendly staff.

The property itself is beautiful but the customer service is terrible. My concierge scheduled a dinner on a night the restaurant was closed and front desk was no help getting us into another restaurant. They told us to go see who would take us. One restaurant out of the 17 they have said they would but we had to wait until 9:30pm. Initial reservations were at 7pm. I booked 6 months in advance. When they reached out to welcome us I was told I could book all services at check in. Come week of check in, no service was available. Resort credits went to the trash because I wasn’t able to use any of them. Restaurant’s were all booked Pool closes at 5pm. They don’t serve alcohol until 11am. I have been to several all inclusive resorts and this one does not know what that concept means. At check in they will have you sign up to their membership class for the timeshare. Total redflag because getting asked for this after a long flight is not it when All you want to do is check in and begin your vacation. I wouldn’t pay to go there again.
