"The desk clerk was not very friendly "

"From the moment we pulled in until time we checked out, could ask for more. Tami, who checked us in, was so friendly, pleasant and thorough; she explained about parking (free), wifi, breakfast and even recommended nearby restaurants. Our room, standard king, was spacious, clean and comfy. The shower and toiletries were very nice. Breakfast was 2 thumbs up: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. We ate at 7:30, and the food server (I think Amanda was her name?) was very pleasant and attentive to keeping the food freshly stocked. Definitely will stay again when traveling thru. "

"The staff was friendly and helpful enough, but our room had many issues: the window unit didn't fit the window well, so there was a draft (we were in a blizzard, so this was an issue). Draft under the door, as well. I stuffed towels in both places. We weren't told the window unit didn't work, so when we tried it we lost all power to the room, so I had to go to the front desk to get power turned on again. We were told to just use the space heater on the night stand. The fixtures on the sink were not attached well. There was an extension cord running from an outlet under the window, looped over the door to the room, then to the TV on a different wall. Broken/chipped plaster in the bathroom ceiling, incomplete floor tiling there as well. For what we paid for this room (around $108, plus $15 for our pet), I expected better room conditions."

"A fine stopover on a cross country journey. Bed was comfortable, no horrors, which is all I needed. It would have been great if there were a plastic silverware set so I had something to eat my microwave dinner with, but all else was as expected."
