"We had a one night stay at the Chancellor hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and tidy. There is no AC in the room but it didn’t bother us in late September. We came here mainly for a concert at the Masonic and it is close to the hotel. The area around the hotel seems safe. We walked around to the Chinatown, little Italy and pier 39-all walkable. Definitely recommend this hotel!"
"I had a very good time at this hotel, and everything checked outstanding. Unfortunately, I had to lower the staff and service score to just good because of the service at the roof top. Without a smile or introducing herself the server took the order, and then stated "I need a credit card or room number", and so I thought: "we don't use 'please' anymore?". Probably not a huge deal, but enough to be noticed. Thank you everyone else for the great service!"
