「Centrally located.」

「The staff were helpful and friendly but there was a mix up with our booking. First night all details were there - 3nights paid for. Next morning still fine. By the evening our keys didn't work and were told the booking was for 1 day so housekeeping hadn't been in! But it was all dealt with without any fuss. Other than that the hotel was clean, modern and gets a mention on the trolley bus tour!」

「The internet connection was the worst Ive encountered. When reported, front desk said nothing he could do about weak signal and shrugged us off. The four of us were unable to use it. Housekeeper never came to our room. Was in hallway and cleaning rooms but never cleaned ours. We had to empty our own trash, unacceptable and at a rate of $500 per night per room. 」

「The vibe is great and far from the hustle and bustle of the Old Port. One of the best bakery/coffee shops I've ever been to. The food at the hotel is exceptional, healthy and reasonably priced. Great bar and the bartender clearly has mastered his trade.」

「The Press Hotel is a lovely, clean boutique conveniently located across from City Hall in Portland. Rooms are well-designed, if a bit small, with excellent beds and a rainfall shower in the bathroom. Well placed near enough to both the Washington Avenue and Munjoy Hill areas, as well as to the Old Port area. Portland has become a bit more worrisome for tourists with the number of unhoused, etc. but the areas around the Press never felt sketchy. Overall, strong recommendation. A few nits that...
