Clean room. Amazing staff. Great food. The only issue we had was the lady who received us during the checking, scheduled the dinner on a wrong date, and when we came for dinner all restaurants were fully booked. But the manager at the Italian restaurant found a spot for us. Besides that, everything went perfect. I definitely would come back.

The food was not good. The quality of food was low grade. Fake juices in the machines, no sausage, bacon. Just inch long hot dogs as sausage. None of the cut fruits were ripe, the scrambled eggs always had something cooked into them like chorizo, did find over cooked plain scrambled eggs in the snackbar. I stayed 3 nights and that only qualified me to eat in one of the specialty restaurants ONE time during the 3 nights. It's supposed to be all inclusive but i had to pay 315 pesos $18 USD for a small 8 oz. Chewie Ribeye. I've stayed here 10 different trips starting in 1997 threw 2007. Then started staying down in Riviera Maya. After Royal Resorts sold them they went down hill. We only came back to celebrate our anniversary, seeing how we were married there in 2004. The majority of the guests were Mexican nationals and other South Americans and the food was geared towards there tastes. Witch i totally can understand. The majority of guests were were 50 plus or young couples with children. The pool blasted the same 10 songs over and over. Three days of the same 10 songs was pure torture. Personally i wouldn't go back if it was free. I'd rather pay a litte extra for something less Spring break meets bad Mexican restaurant.

Staff was always helpful... but not fond how the promotionals are tied into the restaurant reservation process. Would give this resort a 5 overall for convenience, and a 3 for food. It's a well managed small/medium resort. Being right next to Isle Majerus ferry is a BIG bonus.

He ido al occidental xcaret (en noviembre) y las cenas vs. Este hotel si es muy grande, no fueron tan buenas las del italiano y se tardan muchísimo en asignarte mesay de nada sirve la reservación pues las mesas nunca están lustas, enel momento se oinen a montarlas, aún cuando no estaba al 100% de su capacidad y para tomar la orden y servirte ae tardan mucho, Por otro lado, en la recepción jamás contestan quisimos reportar 2 días a la habitación que estaba abajo de la nuestra pues a las 7pm estaban fumando en la terraza puro y el olor era muy desagradable y nunca los pudimos reportar, hable de mi celular y tampoco tuve éxito, los empleados de los bares y de Albatros muy amables y serviciales.

Requested two double beds as I had my best friend (m) and father in law sharing a room. They said they could not accommodate due to availability however we saw numerous rooms available with double beds. After hours they finally offered a cot. They said we needed to check back every morning at 8 am for a double bed room. Which we did. I reached out to Expedia who looked into it. They lied to Expedia and said we turned down a room with two beds. Then said oh we won’t charge you for the cot. Are you kidding me. The front staff was rude. I asked if I could get a refund and go somewhere else. They would charge for one night and we would have to wait 10 days for a refund. We decided we wait for a room. Day two still no bed we were told that we would no receive a refund if we left. Day 3 we finally got a room. The worst room- no view we literally were looking into someone else’s balcony. The bathroom was so small it was hard to access the toilet. The phone was broken so we had the phone people in an our room for two hours once we accessed it. On top of this the food is horrible. Long waits for for the one and only buffet. There is very little entertainment. A pianist for about half an hour and then a hour show. Everything is shut down by 10. The beach area is so small and not taken care of. The tv in the rooms didn’t work. When we called about it we were told a third party was in charge of that and it would be fixed. It was never fixed. Our shower was broken. Do not recommend!

Breakfast was okay not many to choose from mostly station and Mexican breakfast. The specialty restaurants, such as the seafood dinner and Italian was great food. Very delicious.

Was pleasantly surprised at what good value the place was. The location is right next to the channel, so the beach isnt the greatest and the water shallow, but they make up for it with a great pool, bear in mind there'll be activities and music till around 10pm. Restaurants and food is phenomenal, they feed you well and with a good attitude. Rooms had everything we need with a free bar, snack bar and the tours they offer are pretty good value too. Literally the only complaint we could come up with is the room doors don't lock or have a deadbolt, so anyone from your group with the wristband can walk in anytime, and housekeeping also tends to just walk in, so deadbolts on the doors would be a good idea. The whole family loved the stay and no regrets

Resort was beautiful & I traveled with family and kids. The resort itself was amazing , clean and large pools & a beautiful little private beach steps away from the pool area! Staff was also very friendly & the mixed drinks at the bar were great! Only down fall is the long wait to check in & the bathrooms of the rooms are a little outdated . Shower head and shower wall had a little mold as they most likely not scrubbed down . Other than that it was a pleasant stay :)

Great facility. Friendly staff. Lots to explore. Wish the front desk was little more efficient during peak hours of check-in and check-out. Only a handful were “experienced “ enough to know what they were doing leading to long lines. Otherwise, pretty awesome overall.

A MUST READ!!! This is my first time ever visiting Mexico 🇲🇽. Upon arrival I meet a staff member by the name of Sandra who checked me in she did not smile or even had a welcoming face or words. She said this booking does not include wine, lobster or room service. Mind you this is an all inclusive when booking this there is no way to exclude these items. She seems upset that I book with Expedia and not the hotel directly. My family are brown people we are not Latinos. The bellboy Jair took our bags and should us to our room. The property has 3 specially restaurant was only allowed to book for two of the three. My stay was for the Easter break. On Easter Sunday I went to the concierge to check availability for one of the speciality restaurants there was a staff member there by the name is Alex her full name was Alexander she asked where we are from I give told her the country which I was born in and not where I live now cause I don’t want to attract unwanted attention to my self and family. She said we will be giving you the chance to see our other Occidental Hotel 10 minutes away it free of charged we will take you for a brunch and it will be a 90 tour. She also said you can save more by booking with us and not Expedia. So I was interested in seeing the other location they had 10 minutes away. I went there with my family we meet an agent by the name of Jack and his manager they were selling a membership I never heard of and the cost was $2,200 US and they had installments.
