The hotel was nice. It could be better with another pool and some more art in the rooms. I had a hotel credit but it comes as Vouchers which are hard to use. An actual credit would have been nice.

We had a big room, plenty of space for a family of five. Amazing views from the balcony. Food was good, but could be much better if they kept the buffet food hot. Pool and waterslides were both great, the kids had so much fun.

The resort was exactly what we were looking for. Traveled as a couple. Resort was clean, relaxed, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The beach was very wide and beautiful. Not a rocky beach and a nice sized swimming area. This is not a big party resort which is also what we were looking for. With the water park/water slides, this is a great family resort. Lots of kids. The food was as you would expect at an all inclusive. It was good, some really good items, but standard all inclusive at this price point. Our goal was to get out of the cold and enjoy the beach and drinks and this was a perfect choice. Easy 10 min walk (safe walk) to jump on the Ferry to go over to Isla Mujeres. We did not reserve the Level experience this time but our partial ocean view room was perfect! Full living room, very large master suite with a balcony was more than we expected. House keeping kept the room sparkling clean every day and restocked the mini bar daily. Let me say again, the staff was excellent at this resort!

We had an amazing 7 night stay at Melia casa maya. Family of four our kids are 10 & 8. Staff are very friendly and helpful- we loved the atmosphere. Drinks are all good. Bartenders all amazing. I wish there were more restaurants tho we missed having Asian type of food as there were none. Beautiful beach. Clean and calm right in front of the property but getting beach chairs were bit tricky. Were all taken by 9. I asked a guy and he said they put their towel at 6:30. The general store was ridiculously overpriced so I suggest everyone go elsewhere or use uber to get everything (still save a lot if money) No coin operated laundry available and laundry service by the resort is very expensive which might be a dealbreaker for some. Especially when you travelling with kids. Overall we had a great time at Melia casa maya. Oh if you are getting resort credit by booking on Expedia do not even bother about it. Went to spa treatment because I had $150 but They would not let me use it and had to pay out of my pocket at the spot. And when I asked about it at the guest service they did not know what to do with the credit.

Rooms very clean, food was great, small resort easy to get everywhere, very kids friendly, location wasn’t the best if you love walking down the beach it’s beside a locals beach and pier and the other side is too rocky to walk around. Staff was a bit rude but overall had a great stay!

Room was clean! The resort had decent food, amazing service from staff however the beach was dirty, there was poop all over the beach. I asked staff and they said it was turtle poop but they should have someone clean the beach a couple times a day with a pool net or something.other then that the resort was tremendous.

We paid a premium price expecting a high-quality experience, but we left totally disappointed. The "renewed" buildings and rooms are just a superficial paste-and-paint job; they still feel old, and fixtures like faucets and toilets were never replaced. The most unacceptable part was the safety. The kids' area is old and neglected. The pool needs repainting, and the slides are NOT safe. My 9-year-old son used the slide once and got an ugly scrape on his leg, which completely ruined our vacation vibe. Furthermore, the constant harassment from the "Circle" membership sellers (the modern version of 90's timeshares) is exhausting. They are annoying, aggressive, and do not respect your vacation time. To be fair, the main food was very good. However, the desserts were poor, and the entertainment was severely lacking—no high-quality shows, just someone singing by the pool. This is an expensive hotel that absolutely does not deliver the value, safety, or peace you pay for. Avoid.
