"We booked the king bed room and it was great- spacious, clean, stylish. The location was great, also,right in the middle of the pedestrian area with shopping and restaurants all around us, and all our sightseeing trips within walking distance. Staff was great. Just a few negatives- we booked, partially, due to the rooftop bar and lower level bar, only to find out they are both closed on Mondays, our only full day there. This wasn't evident when we booked. Also, we are coffee drinkers who like a cup first thing in the morning before we leave the hotel, and again in the evening before we head out for dinner. There are no in room coffee makers, and the only coffee available was in the lounge from 7-11am. Also no ice machines. They do offer water stations on each floor. The last issue is lack of on-site parking and restricted access to hotel lobby vehicle drop off due to pedestrian zone. We did plan for this, and turned in our rental car when we got into town, and were able to walk to train station with luggage with no issues. All in all we enjoyed our stay, great location and staff. "

"Breakfast is horrible. Second stay here and both times it was aweful. Eggs are like rubber, bacon is not crip its steamed. The pool is too cold for older people to swim. It needs to be warmer. Also you should consider adding a hot tub if you can not make the pool warmer. "

"The unit was very clean and relatively modern but barely supplied for any extended living. I was upset there because the heat was 59 degrees when I checked in at 830 pm and about 63 at 12:30 am. With no actual blankets, I had to double my comforter to get warm. Also, I don't remember reading anywhere that this was a self checkin motel. There was no message on my email and I panicked a bit when I arrived, though someone did answer and game me instructions. The email was sent to my "expedia" account which I did not know I had since I booked on Hotel.com which apparently, is a part."

"Hawthorne Hotel was warm and welcoming! We loved the atmosphere and strongly enjoyed all the amenities. We really enjoyed Sophie at the front desk for being a great person! We also enjoyed Matt the server who works The Tavern and Hawthorne restaurant! Excellent team members."
