Labor Day shenanigans at Lincoln Beach. Lincoln Beach served New Orleans' African-American community during the time of segregation. You have to hop the levee/fence, cross the (active) train tracks, and then find one of the the trails that leads to the water. This is a view from the outside of part of the old arcade, a lingering reminder of what used to be. Unfortunately, the whole area is littered with trash as its not maintained by the city or the railroad locality. "The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar were not open,but I was made aware prior to my stay, and the front desk staff made sure to let me know they could make recommendations if I needed any. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Did the trick!"
