If you like unique accommodations that are not cookie-cutter like all chain accommodations are, stay at a wonderful location in the French Quarter. The outdoor areas are filled with gardens and beautiful greenery. We were in room 303 and heard no noise at night!
We highly recommend this beautiful property

Beautiful place and excellent service in the heart of the french quarter
The staff is wonderful. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Very friendly very accommodating. The property is very old world and whimsical. We enjoyed our stay
Lovely boutique hotel with charming antique character. We stayed in a loft that gave us a nice sitting room downstairs. We loved it and will definitely be back.
Interesting property and exactly what you would think of with an old New Orleans home. However, there are several negatives. Don’t get a street balcony room. Extremely noisy when the air conditioner isn’t running. The air conditioner doesn’t have a controller in the room. Room 215 door has a window above the entry where light came through at nigh making it impossible to darken the room. The hotel is several old homes connected together. While charming and with lots of character, there are steps throughout each floor and of different heights. .
On a positive note, we found the staff very accommodating and friendly. There was always light snacks, water and coffee available for the guests.
This hotel is surreal. It must be experienced to understand. Best hotel I’ve ever been to. You definitely want the balcony. The staff were very friendly. Free coffee, water, and snacks. There are a few cats walking about openly.
This is the cutest hotel I have ever stayed in. Love the atmosphere, the decor and building so beautiful. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Plus there were three super friendly cats that lived here, making it feel more like home. I definitely plan on staying here in the future!
The place looks vintage and we liked that. The bed cover was old but idk how but could use a new vintage look? The ambiance of the hotel was fantastic. Loved the elevator.
A unique place that really brings you back to the old times like in a,movie.
Bob and Francis are the most friendly receptionists, patiently sharing tips,on where to eat, to have fun. I had such a great time and I will go back again.
Our stay at the Olivier House Hotel was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The curator who decorated this beautifully preserved historic building clearly has an exceptional eye for detail—there are so many charming and unique pieces throughout the property that make it feel special and full of character.
The courtyards were peaceful and relaxing, with the gentle sound of fountains creating a calming atmosphere. After long days exploring the city, it was the perfect place to unwind.
The beds were extremely comfortable and gave us a great night’s sleep. There was always fresh coffee and tea available in the common area, which was a lovely touch. And the adorable resident kitties provided pet therapy I didn’t even realize I needed.
The location is ideal—close to everything happening in the Quarter, yet tucked away enough to feel like a quiet retreat when you want a break from the hustle and bustle.
I truly can’t say enough good things about our stay. I will absolutely return to this hotel the next time I visit my beloved New Orleans. Many thanks to Bobby and his wonderful staff for taking such great care of us.
PS: Dan’s father should be very proud of the great work he’s doing at the Olivier House!

Amazing atmosphere with so much character - truly a highlight of our trip. And the cats are the absolute best NOLA greeters! You can hear noise from Bourbon Street, but that shouldn't be a surprise.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Olivier House Hotel, and my experience was truly exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel offers a unique charm, combining historic character with comfort and a welcoming atmosphere.
I would especially like to recognize John at the front desk for his outstanding customer service. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and that I had everything I needed. His warm personality and genuine willingness to help made a lasting impression and truly enhanced my overall experience.
The staff as a whole was courteous and accommodating, and the property itself was clean, charming, and perfectly located. I would highly recommend Olivier House Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and pleasant stay.
Thank you for a wonderful experience — I look forward to returning! Aniuska
If you are looking for a place with charm-this is it! The building and courtyard are fabulous! Super close to Bourbon street but quiet when you have had your fill of the chaos. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Not your typical “box” hotel-very cozy, staying at your Nana’s house vibe.
Great location close to Bourbon Street. The hotel has cats that walk around they don’t bother you. There are water and snacks for guest all day the staff was very friendly they allowed me an early check in and a late checkout. The rooms are very unique and also they’re the smallest elevator I’ve ever seen. I enjoyed my stay
This place is so cool and very close to all the action in the Quarter! 42 rooms in old houses, all decorated in antiques, so all unique. Very friendly people at the desk with nice amenities. Only suggestion would be floor mats in the bathroom for stepping out of the shower,
Gorgeous property! Excellent location, Clean room, and exceptional staff. The only downfall was the bed in Room 109. Felt like we were sleeping on a sheet of plywood.
We loved every minute of our stay here! Our room was clean, the bed was incredible, and the vibes were exactly as we wanted. The staff is absolutely top notch and we can’t WAIT to come back. Side note- get the cabin if you’re getting married- the suite wasn’t big enough to hold a lot of people.
