「The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.」

「The hotel was quintessential NOLA..small intimate full of character being an older space. The hotel being aged does not mean it has to smell awful. Since they have no air conditioning it was very damp and hot and smelled like mold and mildew. The rooms also only had a small window unit which did not really cool the room in the summer heat. The attached bar was also hot and smelled bad. Staff was very kind is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.」

「The room was great! The patio was huge but was shared with 4 other rooms. Plenty of space if everyone was out there. Bathroom was a tad small but with it being just me and my husband it wasn’t an issue. If you don’t want to hear music all night… don’t request a room on Bourbon st. We loved it but it was loud till 4-5 in the morning!」

「Great 5 day stay for a 50th birthday celebration in a great city. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, clean, etc. No complaints. We loved the Chandelier bar and all of the restaurants and room service were excellent. The location is great, close to everything. The staff was friendly and professional, always going the extra mile. We look forward to returning to this property.」

「Such a beautiful, historic property in the heart of the French Quarter. Walkable to everything and onsite, valet parking available. The staff was very courteous and professional and held our luggage for us so we could go and enjoy lunch until our room was ready. Our beds were very comfortable and despite the central location, our patio room was very quiet. We only had one night here, but sure wish we could have stayed longer!」

However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. Eventually left a day early and switched to another hotel.」
