「The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.」

「The hotel was quintessential NOLA..small intimate full of character being an older space. The hotel being aged does not mean it has to smell awful. Since they have no air conditioning it was very damp and hot and smelled like mold and mildew. The rooms also only had a small window unit which did not really cool the room in the summer heat. 「The staff was lovely. The location was fantastic. The parking worked well. The biggest problem was that the pool is open until 10 PM and the shrieks of children playing was ALARMING and put us on edge. We were on the bottom floor, slightly way from the pool, but there is no escaping it. I'm not the kind of person that doesn't like kids -- but high pitched SCREAMS were relentless.
