「Gorgeous old place 」

「Very nice place and convenient to everything in town. Not used to staying anywhere where there is basically no staff around but it wasn’t much of a problem after all. No parking was also a bit of an issue but we figured out the nearby town lot that was free and allowed 72 hour stay. We are seniors and would have paid for valet service but as I stated earlier no staff around from what i could tell. We did enjoy the room and the heated bathroom floors were nice. 「No elevators in the place so you need to carry all of your stuff up a ton of stairs. There was a huge bug in our room and the AC’s didn’t work well. The guy had to come out and help but he got it going. Need more towels than 3 for a family. Loved the washer and dryer and location, and parking available. Pull out bed needs a new mattress as it had stains! The couch needs a good steam clean. Otherwise it was cute and cozy!」

「Parking was easy which is a plus especially in a city like portsmouth. The town is extremely walkable so we didn't have to use the car again until we left. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked what kind of coffee we wanted and even cleaned our room which included changing the towels. If we come back to portsmouth, I would definitely stay her again」

「The room is spacious and clean with comfortable pillows. The rooftop bar and restaurant is lovely and a plus. The staff from the reception to the rooftop bar/restaurant were helpful and friendly with great service. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.」

「Excellent hotel! Breakfast is good. They even provide light dinner for free! Room is big with kitchen! Must stay next time! Parking is an issue, but I travel with a residence friend here. It is not an issue to me.」

「This is a lovely place. The rooms were clean and the decor was thoughtfully chosen — not overbearing or kitschy. The kitchenette had all the necessary dishes, utensils and pots. The small grounds were nice and conducive to ready. The location was great. Very close to downtown Portsmouth and the price was reasonable, especially when compared with those just a couple of miles away in Portsmouth.」

「Overall, I think it was a pretty nice hotel and I would come back based on the location alone. The pool was pretty nice and the amenities were pretty okay. Biggest downside was that I was towing my small 5x8 utility trailer behind my SUV on my way to Laconia. 「Checked in 6/13 for one night. Nasty odor in the first room. Possibly a cleaning product as it had a strong ammonia smell, but also something else vaguely nauseating. Went down to the front desk, very courteous, promptly put us in another room. Unfortunately, turned out that room had a broken air conditioner! Wouldn’t run - 74 in room with thermostat set at 62. Called front desk (“Hey it’s us again…”) and they sent up a maintenance person who disconnected the unit from the wall thermostat so we...

「The room was clean and the hotel is in a great location. The only downside was the view from our room. The pictures made it seem like the hotel and room view would be waterfront. My window looked out right into another building.」
