The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. 「Room was beautiful and the location was great. Contactless which I wasn't sure about but was great. Easy code to get into the building and our room and check out was just as easy. Lovely Tea/Coffee bar with snacks. Will stay here again.」

「I took my son and his friend for a belated birthday celebration. Our original trip was postponed due to a big snowstorm. When we arrived the staff was genuine and welcoming. At dinner the waitress was unbelievable. Kind, attentive AND when we said we were celebrating my son’s belated birthday and his friends birthday (the day prior) she surprised them with the most decadent chocolate cake. Our meals were delicious and we were so impressed with how special the server made the boys feel. 」

「Parking was easy. Beds comfortable. Rooms and hotel outdated and a bit worn. The rooms seemed clean enough but I got my own cleaner and washed room down. Don't get me wrong decent enough room. If you decide to take an Uber in town or around I met a top notch great driver who dresses in a suite, pleasant demeanor, plays a little classical music: His name is Derrick and his direct cell is: 1-603-338-1145. Reasonable cheap prices with tips around town activies. 3/21/26」
