"I wish I knew before booking about the condition of this hotel, it was dirty, and it’s basically falling apart. At random times the most disgusting smell would come from the toilet it was unbearable o had to leave the room. The wall pant was chipped, mold in the bathroom walls, and one time I came out my room that was on the 8th floor to find the halls flooded with water, the leak dripped all the way down to the main lobby floor. The gym was small, most machines didn’t work and very dirty. Also when booking no one said about a 20 story high building construction happened right next to our hotel, it was very loud all day long. And there was no complementary coffee, we had to buy each cup of coffee cup that was served for a jar. Yet I did notice that when Americans would ask for coffee they weren’t being charged. There was cleaning service everyday but they would only clean the bathroom and do the beds, no sheet changing and no sweeping which made it hard to walk barefooted. "

"Melia made our first trip to Mexico very memorable! Clean facilities, very friendly staff (helps to know some spanish), and convenient location close to the airport and Marina. Very happy with the amazing guest services team, Hector and Montserrat were extremely helpful and excellent in making us feel welcomed and supported in anything we needed. If you’re a tourist worried about safety, we stayed during the week of the cartel events and Melia was very safe on the hotel premises and far enough from the city and close to the airport. Highly recommend to stay at Melia or near the airport if that’s your main concern. If you’re staying, recommend making daily reservations at Fish House and the Spa steam room. Mole y Tacos was the best place to have breakfast. Ocean view was worth it. The beach was exclusive to hotelgoers, so it was peaceful and not crowded at all. Kayak was our favourite activity. All of these were included in the all-inclusive packages."

"Was disappointed that my hair brush went missing. I understand that we and the staff were on lock down due to the car fires cartel business. I think the hotel should have stepped up and provided those products. The most disheartening was we were charged 100 dollars us to stay another hour after check out, with our flight being postponed. It was a good location. Eric and Darnell were fantastic by the pool."
