"Just left with family of 5 and first time with Villa del Parmar. Resort is very walkable. Elevators are fast and no line ups at restaurants. Very well staffed in kitchen and wait staff and entertainment staff was great for our 8 and 12 year old. Portions of protein was huge - think of sharing mains if you have little ones. Food quality was a pleasant surprise. One highlight was the "pest control" staff which included a hawk! It was trained to chase away the pigeons and crows... which were very clever and ate from yoir plate the moment you stepped away. The other was the Michael Jackson impersonator - amazing dance moves and singing. Huge thanks to Ignacio (omelette station) and the entertainment crew - Charly, Ely, Mar and Paco! 7 days is a perfect length of stay and the Uber to downtown was a nice option ."

"Property very close to PV airport so an easy walk or taxi was $120 pesos. Pick up just outside the Hotel One Complimentary breakfast was decent enough to start your day - toast, cold cereal, yogurt, fresh pineapple/papaya, juices, coffee (a little weak for our liking), beans and a beef stew So definitely enough selection The only issue we had with our room was we lost water pressure in the morning for about 10 minutes but did resume. Air conditioner was a little loud had to wear ear plugs Would we come back to it - YES Hope this helps Happy Travels "

"This was our first time at Velas Vallarta. We have stayed at other similar resorts in different parts of Mexico over the last few years hands-down our family agreed this was the best resort yet we upgraded to a three bedroom family suite for a very reasonable cost upon check-in. The staff were all fantastic. The room was spotless and well appointed. The pool area was also spotless with nice furniture and more than adequate towels and service. I had read a number of reviews about the food prior to going. There are two restaurants included in the all-inclusive. We ate at both of them. The buffet food is average. It is not bad at all, there are simply limited selections, but there is fresh fruit, salads, and other good food available. The à la carte options are excellent and you can order off the menu anytime of day. We had incredible à la carte, breakfast, lunches, and dinners. Some highlights were short rib, tacos, and fresh fish tacos, ribeye steaks in the evening as well as pork back ribs, and seafood gumbo. Of all of the resorts we have stayed at our family, agrees that we want to come back to this one, the overall experience, the friendliness of the staff, and the general vibe of the place are special. The grounds are spotless and incredible, there are Koi fish rivers scattered throughout, and you can feed the fish with food purchased from the shop. The plants are beautiful and well tended. The three pools are fantastic and clean and connected via a lazy river."

"Great breakfasts, nice soups and salads at lunch. Great value for the price. Staff from the bar to the front desk was great. Alfredo at the al a carte restaurant gave excellent service. Highly recommend booking there . It's a bit misleading but most dishes on the menu are not an upcharge and it's so much more relaxing than the buffet. Lack of a bathroom at the beach was a bit inconvenient but we knew that when we signed up. Super easy to catch bus to Downtown and Marina . "
