This was a quiet place to be able to retreat to after partying at El Malecon. Quite peaceful and affordable. They have a house cat named Benito who just chills and sleeps.

The Casa Ritual was quiet. Tasteful. Figuratively and literally! The food was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful yet not overbearing. I enjoyed the pool courtyard area n particular; beautiful, verdent greenery. Lovely birdsong. The water was perfect. And there was never more than 1-4 people in the pool, which was nice if you like it quiet, which we do. I also really liked the cute little bathroom with a small window that opened to the pool courtyard. The neighbourhood also felt like an oasis. Suggestions include adding a chest of drawers to the room along with some additional hooks. We were left needing to leave some things in our suitcase for the week because it didn't all fit into the single wardrobe which only had four hangers in it upon our arrival. That said, staff was very responsive when we requested some additional hangers. Also suggest adding another comfortable chair to the room so that people can sit somewhere other than the desk chair or bed. Also suggest turning the AC on in the room prior to guest's arrival; we arrived late at night and it was pretty stifling after presumably heating up all day. The only other suggestion would be maybe to reconsider playing music in the courtyard 9:00-9:00. I understand that you are trying to set a relaxed tone, but - for me - it became a bit relentless. But that is a minor suggestion! All and all I would heartily recommend this to any traveller who likes things quiet, simple, slower, restful and kind.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and will be headed back for 5 nights next month. We love the little restaurant and bar on the property and the marina being so close by. The staff is very friendly and quick to help!

Wonderful one-night respite in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of the airport. I maximized my stay with a swim in the pool, an extraordinary massage with Juan Carlos (truly a medicine man) followed by dinner beside the pool. The next morning I enjoyed the sumptuous oatmeal bowl flavored with cardamom, ginger and cinnamon. It was delicious.

No problem with staff but room terribly lacking. No amenities, no kleenex, no hair dryer, hardly any water pressure in shower, no bar soap. Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Room and bathroom not clean. Very poor choice on our part and I think a refund is in order.

I wish I could give Casa Ritual a better review but overall given the circumstances at the time of our stay I wouldn’t recommend or go back. We arrived just before vehicles were started on fire and looting was happening. The hotel was lovely and quiet, very close to the marina and a safe area but during all these events we told to stay in our rooms and shelter in place. At this time the staff had locked everything up and left us stranded feeding us before they left but not after. We went all of the majority of Sunday and all of Monday without any news of what was happening outside and one gardener on staff with no food. The communication was very poor as people were afraid to leave but also hungry and an American couple had to argue that we be let into the kitchen as we needed to eat and everything outside the hotel was shut down. The staff did open the kitchen for us to cook for ourselves and let us take drinks from the fridge but over charged us on our leave for what was taken when multiple rooms were taking from the fridge. Before we left they also charged us an extra cleaning fee which made no sense to me as this was not mentioned before hand and we went over two days without full staff and only once before we left did they clean our room. The staff was overall very nice but the whole situation and lack of transparency from management with over charges and abandonment in the hospitality business was heinous. I would not recommend staying here.
