"The room was spotless and spacious, staff were very friendly. Room was so quiet. You just cannot beat this location in Midtown. Rockefeller, Bryant Park and Times Square subway stations all within a few minutes walk. Basic amenities but it doesn’t matter as so many as places to eat and drink on the doorstep. If you want an excellent affordable room rate in a first class location, Hotel St James is for you. A special mention to the legendary Joey on reception who is so friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Nothing is too much trouble for Joey and he is an asset to this hotel. Thanks for another fantastic stay in NYC!!!!! 😄 the one thing I would mention is that if the AC could be a bit quieter that would be awesome. "

"Great location to the venues we were going to. Clean, safe, but… THE worst pillows. I asked for different pillows and all they did was clean my room, change the sheets and fluff up the existing one. Totally flat to the bed."
